Picked it up a couple days ago. It's... Spartan.... to say it best. no radio, the dash vents are missing (still have defrost/floor heat though), and the floor pan on the driver's side? I can see the ground underneath, through an area a little less than the surface area of a dollar bill. But, after some VCG's, and a new rear u-joint, and a couple misc. seals, she'll be road worthy. Found it on craigslist for $750.

Now I won't care if someone else slams into me in their nice Lincoln :D

I think the guy before me had quite a bit of fun painting it lol.

Don't paint it!! You don't want to lose that redneck aura.

Those old Chevy's are great trucks. My brother-in-law is looking for one for a plow truck and would love to find a deal like that.

Few years ago I had a 1984 GMC that looked a lot like that cept it was navy blue. It was beat to crap, but to be honest, it was one of the best cars I've ever had. Absolutely loved it and it was great in the snow...wish I still had it.

The other thing I have to put on the truck is some exhaust. It's got true dual exhaust back to the transfer case, then nothing lol. sounds terrible. I will probably just get something cheap like cherry bombs, then just 2" pipe after that. Throw some angle cut 3.5" tips on the end and call it good.

I have a set of 35x12.50-15 swampers for sale still have alot of meat on them if you are interested pm me I want 400.00 new they were 169.00 my cost, to a customer off the street they would be around 250-300 a piece.

Looks Good!! Wish I had the cash right now to pick up a winter beater, ive been looking for a 90's ranger or something, but I don't think it will happen.

If you need help with the floor pan work I could probably assist... I've done a few floor replacements now... most were in much, well less mullet worthy vehicles :D

That's actually a nice truck for $750. If you're really buying new sheet metal for it I guess you'll be picture whoring the truck too?

Thats a pretty badass truck. Not like new, nice and clean, but like old and ruthless. Nice buy

Trucks like that remind me of one of my favorite 80's TV shows - The A-Team. (where the baddies usually end up flying up in the air and rolling the truck)

*Visualizes 3 bad guys in the bed, firing machine guns / assault rifles, but not actually hitting anything*

The only thing stopping me from calling you a Redneck is the fact its NOT a Custom Deluxe:p

That thing is kick ass!

I wouldnt replace sh*t or wash it EVER!

Its missing the gun rack thougth:D

when you honk the horn, does it play dixie?

that truck came here to do two things, drink some beer and kick some a$$.

looks like where almost out of beer:shifty:

i'm with J, i wouldn't change sh!t or wash it either, just take it out and actually get some real dirt on it (and maybe a chunk of grass or two)

i hope you got a sweet a$$ trucker hat and a flanel sleeveless shirt to where while your crusing around looking for the perfect cows to tip :D

how many empty cans of skoal where under the seat when you picked it up?

PBR, Camo Truck....... Say it ain't so.

That thing looks like its hit its fair share of deer on the highway. Nice installment there.

lol. The PBR was a one time thing. Don't know why I was in the mood for cheap beer that night, maybe it was wanting to reminisce about the college days when that's all I could afford. But it's def. not a permanent thing.
