Some people suck! Totaled my Mark : (

Well as the title suggests I had an accident Saturday and my Mark is totaled. Some douche trying to answer his cell phone hit me in the left side. My left rear quarter panel was destroyed, the door pillar was pushed in some, the door was damaged, both left mouldings were broken up, the bumper cover was messed up, and worse of all the rear wheel was pushed in on the front side about 3/4 of an inch. The damage estimate was $3800 which didn't even include the suspension damage which was to be determined. To make matters even better the azzhole had no insurance so my company has to pay the tab!

I got my reward out of it though. When the idiot told me he was answering his phone I got pissed. Then when he told me his insurance was no good I lost it. He is now missing 3 teeth Plus when the cops showed up they told me they were going to escort him to the hospital and after he was checked out they were going to take him straight to jail for driving without insurance! Woo hoo! I still sucks though cause I already miss my Mark

I'll post some pics of the damage tomorrow when after I go to the body shop to pick up my tags.

Sorry to hear about your loss!

I know how it feels to lose your car over something stupid. At least you made it through ok and are here to tell us about it. Find you another one and swap the exhaust and do some interior swapping. You'll always miss your first one but sometimes the 2nd one is better.

Yeah I'm going to take my time and find a good replacement. I'm just kind of bummed cause that car had a history and I vowed to keep it around as long as I could in memory of the former owner. I guess now he has his car back lol.

No sir. The police were 100% on my side because the guy was a huge idiot and apparently he had an arrest record and a terrible driving record. Welcome to Baltimore lol!

Kinda. The insurance paid for the repairs and rental and left me with about $20. But I was injured and just finnished the main part of the physical theropy and have a lawyer as we prepare for the lawsuit.
She was texting, not wearing a seat belt, no proof of insurance, underager passenger with no seatbelt on and the cop standing 4' away watching the whole thing happen. She was 10' off my bumper and doing about 35mph when she looked up and saw I was stopped..... at a red light.... how inconsiderate of me. Total neglagence that cost me time and money and severe pain that cost me sleep and gave me depression.
Just hope my lawyer is good.

Damn. I remember reading about it when it happened but re reading it all now is just crazy. I knew yours was a hard hit. I hope you're feeling better now and I hope you get taken care of very well in court!

I'm letting her go. My insurance company is taking care of me pretty well on it and I don't have the time or space to try to part it out. Also with the rear suspension taking part of the hit I wouldn't want to try to fix it. It just has too much damage.

Stupid and self-centered! I also hate people who talk on the cell phone while driving...unless it is an emergency there is no reason for it. Most of these phuckers are just talking about useless crap...meanwhile they endanger all of those around them because their insignificant conversations are that much more important than everyone else's lives!
