My Mark VIII is getting up there on miles. It has 150K miles currently and will be getting dynoed. I am raising the shifts all the way to 7K. The reality of it all is the car has rust issues that are starting in the very early stages (although the passenger door bottom edge is pretty much toast) and shifting my car this high with this many miles on it is more risky with the age. But that's the name of the game and I am still trying to reach for the sky NA one more time this year.
Now, there is a supercharged LSC that I am looking at but likely it will sell before I can come up with the full amount. The downside is it has log manifolds and a stock converter. I have these parts already on my car and all new suspension. I am on track to have about $10K at the end of September and am wondering what can I do with my car, should I decide to forego another project with this one and let the Supercharged LSC slip by?
My vision:
First and foremost, the engine needs to be fresh, I would really like to go forged, and I want a blower.
Talk to me peeps. And I'll also throw this out there. Anyone even out of state that would like to share in my vision can also share in the dough too. If there is any individuals on here that know how to rebuild a Teksid and throw some heavy internals into it, don't be shy. Come forward and let's talk.
