Are you married? Got Kids or a girlfriend? If one of them broke a bone would you get rid of them and find another? Hell no you won't! Especially if they got hurt saving your butt. You'd stand by them and help them get better.
Do the same for the Mark.

Hammer that hood down, throw some tape over he broken lenses and bend back whatevr ou need to bend back and drive that thing with a smile!
Its all outer pieces and very simple to replace them when you have time and money to do so.

Wish I was there to help.
Either way you go I would not sell it. Keep it for parts if you have room.

If you want a different car with a moon roof go find one.
Keep this one and fix sell later.
Or put it up for sale but as said, you won't get $hit for it.

OK guys I am getting a 98 LSC and leaving in an hour o go get her. She ha 85K on it and has a moon roof. The dude is the second owner and his father is the first owner. All service and repairs were done ONLY at the Ford dealer for the cars hole life. I maybe paying a bit much but its under $4000 and is damnner pristine.
I didnt want white but I like the car.


OK, mine is gonna go up for sale WITHOUT the Saleens, Stereo or front SCP braces. Everything else I have done o it will stay and everything works. Car runs specaculrly and trans shifts great. In addiion to the new dammage it needs two ball joints and the steering rack has play in it. It will be on stock ten spokes. Gonna ask $1000.
I will also sell (seperatly) the band new in the box 93 steering rack for $150.

i would have took the day off, found all the parts...and have it ready for prep and paint tommorow night...too bad clean car, and didnt you just have all the dents etc removed? thats exactly what im looking for in a gen 2 something that had a bad break and needs to be saved

complete front end assemblies out there for $1000 not bad on www.car-part.com i only searched the midwest and around my area, can probably find cheaper
 
dang Hottie - I took my 94 out, then drove all the way down to FL and got a clean 96 LSC and two months later took it out...both front end damage. I know your pain.

I lay so far back now I'm either the last in the pack or the first. Screw idiots who slam on their brakes while cutting into your lane...those car cams are worth their weight in gold.

I think he is also looking at the fact that what he is getting has almost half the miles as the wrecked car, and has a moonroof. My first Mark VIII (a 96) was totalled by an idiot with no drivers license in early '05. If my wrist had not been broken I probably would have beaten him to death.
 
That sucks man. You handled that situation alot better than I would have. I have always really liked your mark. Dnt sell it just piece it back together as you can.
 
Laser the damage to you car is crap you can get that fixed in no time trust me you dont want to get rid of it...you want to fix it. I sold mines after i totalled it thinking that one day i was going to find an exact replica. Well guess what it hasnt happened. Yes I got me another Mark the exact color I wanted but its not the same as my toreader red. I think no Mark will ever replace it, its just impossible. Here are the before and after shots of my lost beauty. This was the love of my life. If you get rid of it you're gonig to regrit it trust me. I see my new Mark like a replacement but it doesnt share that passion that I had with my toreader.

I know how it feels my 97 cordovan was total a year ago too. Honestly I love my new mark but miss the 97, I wish i was in texas I would pick your car up in a hearth beat and put it back together, love white but your car color is so unique and rare to see laser. Good luck with your new car.
 
Thanks guys. When I just pulled up with my new Mark I saw the old one sitting there and got quite depressed.
So far though I like the white one better. I had no idea I would like the air ride so much and the car is so solid and clean I just really like it. After I clean it up and mod it some I will be quite happy with it.
Gonna take a couple small parts that are in better shape from the 97 and put the 98 parts back on it then sell it.
 
And I guess its my fault. My insurance company just told me they were sending an estimater dude to the bitches house. :mad:
I said its my fault? And he laughed and said I did rear end her..... :mad:

Sadly thats how insurance companys work. They can only make judgments based on what the police report says. If the cop saw the girl cut you off and slam on her brakes then he could have stated that in the report, otherwise they have to go by what it looks like when they get there and what both partys claim happend.


When i was backed into at a red light, the 18yr old girl put her trailor hitch through the front of my mark 8 resulting in 5500.00 in damages. When the cop responded he asked if i had rear ended her, i responded no she backed into me and he didnt belive me intill he went and asked the girl what happend and she claimed that she couldnt see anybody behind her so she backed up. If she would have said" i dont know what happened " I would have been held responcable for the damage to her truck. Insurance is a scam 99.99% of the time.

Fight it. Were there any witnesses? She had to go to the insurance company with her side of the story. I'm guessing she has neck and back pain now as well...........
 
sadly jrherald420 is right...sucks, cops think they know it all when it comes to an accident..yeah they have seen a lot, but dang it, they are still clueless.

All things make full swing in time...just get yours taken care of and keep a hold of your insurances balls, don't let them dick you - another sorry thing and WE PAY THEM!!!!!
