this thread makes me depressed, i have a storage unit
my 95's new home.

That same home here would be around $850 to $1100. I'm not downing it or anything but the cost of living up there must be crazy high. I even live in Madison, AL. and that's considered to be one of the nicest cities anywhere around here. I also have cops on my street and all in the sub division. Not that I like it but they're here.
I pay $850 per month for 3 BR, 2 full baths, fireplace, double car garage, patio, central heat and air, new roof. No, it's not a hick town where I am. I will admit, some places in Alabama are pretty damn countrified. Madison is really a good city to live in. Huntsville, AL., not so much in some areas. Oh yeah, I have free cable too just in case the satellite ever goes out.
You must have a low interest rate.
That should still cost around $1200 a month.
With that price range you can live like a king out here...4 bedroom two story house with pool, garage and from around the year 2000 and newer.

If you don't make 35,000 a year minimum, you're toast. That same house you described would be a 350-400+k home here.

I have a storage unit with a mark in it. Its in the same shape as danny's too. There is also a 71 duster in it.

No, I rent. If I owned it or was actually paying a house payment, it would be around $650 to $700 and if I did buy this house, it would be right at $125,000
Cost of living in Alabama is much cheaper than the northern states.

Sad part about it is that I work for a moving & storage company. I get NO DISCOUNTS. Otherwise I'd keep both my cars here, lol.
Ideally, I'd love to rent one of those PODS, throw it in the back yard & pay the monthly for it but they are like $175 p/m. HELL NO!

yes, but this is where i work on it too, not store it.... no electricity, but it is pretty sweet having a mark, a 67 yamaha, and a suzy s50, a mountain bike and a track bike
