Wow..clean looking BOB 98 lsc, 83k miles for $2500! Is it me or does that interior look like the 97 ebony black instead of the lighter 98 black?

Looks like someone went to check it out and wasn't too pleased.

I went to go look at this lip licker for sale by a car flipper. Obviously he is having trouble with his vision. It does have rust. There is a huge spot under the gas filler door and at the bottoms of both doors showing on the outside that you can't see in the photos. When you give it gas it runs ROUGH and doesn't drop off the RPMS like it should although he will tell you it runs great. The paint is sunburned on the roof. The guy selling it is less then pleasant and probably should find a job where he doesn't deal with people. Sure it was a one owner BEFORE him perhaps. Currently it is jumping title.

Ouch!!!

Lol ya I saw that after I posted it..if it weren't for the rust I'd say its still worth it for $2500..the stumble or rough running engine could be something simple and faded paint if just on the roof isn't that big of a deal. But if all of those areas are rusting its probably pretty bad underneath also.

man dont pay over 5k for any car over 100k miles . and if think upkeep is rough on lincolns just wait till you try hi end imports!

Here's a clean one with 32k miles..expensive but nice

I know its a tad pricey - but - I'm actually looking at that one myself - but won't have the cash for a few more weeks for that. I am looking for a decent Mark VIII (97/98 only - 75k or less miles preferred) I really wanted to do a repaint to a nice pearl dark blue, but, with the one in Kingman I couldn't bring myself to do that to such a clean car.

I am seriously considering the purchase of this one - its a tad high on the price - but - I'm looking for a daily driver car to replace my aging tbird.

Looks like a really nice Mark VIII and for 8K, you are getting a brand new car almost which will last a long time if kept up. Gotta get rid of that bumper sticker when you get it though.

Honestly if you dont have the cash on hand then I probably wouldnt buy..it is a nice car but $8000 is way high, if you plan on driving it a decent amount you're going to have to start replacing a lot of parts here and there..just cause its low mileage doesn't change the fact its 16 years old..things dry rot and get old after sitting that much. Youre better off spending less than half that and finding a clean one with more mileage..preferably around 100k miles because by that point the suspension has probably all been rebuilt as well as replacing common wear items and parts that usually fail. Plus you'll then have all that extra money to do whatever you'd like to do with the car. Just my opinion.

Guy went down to $2000:

Cobra brakes with aftermarket rims, Cobra intake, rebuilt front suspension, 88,000 mile engine, in dash navigation head unit, toreador red with black interior.

Needs a few small things apparently but a steal for the price.

Even if I do - I would think 6500 to 7000 is about the right price?

This is the other one I've been looking at - http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/4224256490.html - but, that also gives me an excuse to repaint it to dark metallic blue. There is also some damage on the body on the right hand side above the wheel well (kind of visible in the photo itself)

In reality - stereo is getting fully yanked out, and my current one going in, along with my 2013 Ford Focus wheels.

If you're going to repaint whatever car you buy try finding one that needs paint. That one you posted doesn't look very clean for being over $4k..I wouldn't pay more than $2k for a car needing paint..a good paint job will run you well over a grand so it doesn't make it worth it at that point if you buy the car for $4000.

Here's a pretty good deal if it doesn't have any major problems

Looks pretty nice.

After thinking about it..this is the perfect 1st gen (IMO). 95 black on black LSC, no OBDII which means no emissions by me, all the perks of 96 LSC and no worries of 96 only parts to break. No moon roof which means no rusty rockers. Only thing missing is HIDs and chrome 10 spokes which can be added easily. If only he'd come down on the price..I'd pay $4500 for that all day.

Make him an offer. Everything is negotiable...well almost!
