Some of you may know I bought the set of HID's from Frogman a couple weeks ago for an Xmas present for my younger brother (mrk ate).

I was super happy with the condition of the housing when they did arive, but decided since they were out I would go ahead and wetsand them and buff them anyhow.

Here are the pics of the progression, and installed pics.

Here are the differences in light output between the stock housings with a DDM 6000k HID kit, and the HID housings with DDM 6000k HID kit (stock top, HID bottom). I was actually pretty surprised at the difference.

Thanks for looking

What are you planning on doing with the old head lights? Ive got a brand new driver side on my car and the passenger side is old and faded and doesnt look good. From the pictures above the old passenger head light seems in pretty good condition.

Very nice. I like the comparison pics between the halogen and HID housings, I've heard others say HID bulbs in a halogen housing are better than HID bulbs in a HID housing... but after swapping from HID/halogen housings to HID/HID housings myself and after seeing these pics I don't think that's the case.

What did you use for the buffing? They look great :)

1. clean headlamps
2. put in vise
3. wetsand with 1500grit sandpaper
4. wetsand with 2000grit sandpaper
5. using an electric buffer, buff with cutting creme
5. using an electric buffer, buff with finishing polish
6. wax headlamp
7. repeat for other headlamp

What did you use for the cutting/buffing creme/polish? Sorry I wasn't clearer, there are tons of products on the market for this?!

When I did mine I just used rubbing compound and wax after I wet sanded them.
