Hey Benny, congrats man. this was cool to know it was happening and all the work that was going into it for you. i hope they gave you the card i sent with the headlights. it wasnt much, but that was my contribution, was help you see where you are driving. enjoy the car man.

Congrats Pepps! That Mark VIII looks great!

Pete was real simple ... Pepps has a TC .. and has been dreaming of owning a Mark VIII. Brandon (Kustomizingkind) approached me before Christmas with the idea to see if members of LvC would pull together and either donate money or parts to help get Pepps a Mark VIII and we'd give it to him at the Beach Party ...

LvC came through with money and the parts ...

I contacted most of Pepperman's friends and asked if they would like to help out .. and it was fantastic how LvC pulled together for Pepperman ....

And as I said before ... Brandon worked his butt off to make this happen.

Here is some more reading on the project .... To keep it discussion away from Pepperman we had a forum which was blind to only those who I had given permission to view ... (Members -except Pepperman - had only to join the site and let me know their screen name to follow the up dates and join the converstation).

Here is another thread just started for the project ... not even the memebers of the Goldwing forum knew about what was going on ... until late June when even some of them helped out a bit.

I believe that Brandon was tired ... put a lot of work into this project ... especially the last week ... many sleepless nights ...

Well it's time to rest ... oh little one .. Oh but mind you there was abuse LOL ...

Congratts Pepperman, glad it all worked out and you have a sweet Mark now. Brandon, get safe, get some sleep and thats a job well done!

EDIT: This is why I love this place so much. People really pull together to make someones life great. I was in dire straights here and allot of you pulled together to save my ass. I didnt have much to give for the project but gave what I could when I found out about it and really forgot about the project for many months!
Rich or Brandon told me that LVC has a way of paying people back for their help and mang he was not kidding!

LVC fuggin rules all!

Yeah, he got the card, I rode on the cruise with him and read it after he read it.

Hey Benny, congrats man. this was cool to know it was happening and all the work that was going into it for you. i hope they gave you the card i sent with the headlights. it wasnt much, but that was my contribution, was help you see where you are driving. enjoy the car man.

sweet, awesome job brandon, now go get some rest lol! god its nice to be young isnt it, lol it will catch up to you sunshine!

I have 2 interesting stories to share with all of LVC. First, the discussion was how we could get Pepps to the meet without his car. I suggested that Debi (MSM8TRESS) say that she needed to visit a friend in Arizona and that she was driving back through Pepp's hometown. She said she needed company on the long drive and that gave us an excuse to buy a plane ticket to fly up with a promised ride home. Debi graciously accepted and picked up Pepps at Indy airport.

Insurance for the car was also tricky. How can we get the car insured under Pepp's name without the company notifying him? Rich and I pretended we had crummy insurance and asked Pepps who his insurance went through. He responded with the company name and we asked for the agent's number so that we could give her a call for "advice". Pepps gave it to us and I called her the next day and told her the whole story. She agreed to add the car to his insurance without ruining the surprise but told me that she had to wait until just before I was about to leave in order to issue the policy. Well I waited and waited for that fax and near the end of the day I finally gave her a reminder call. she said thanks for reminding me I was just about to go away on vacation! I was really happy when I received that fax!

It has been fun working with everyone on the this project ... LvC you did a great Job.

What also helped with the story was the fact that due to the closeness to Brandon, and the fact that I had done some work to the car - Brakes, Alt, Control Arms, Coil Conversion, plus we knew the engine was a good strong engine. Good thing was tranny was shot ... but Brandon was planning on putting in a 98 or new tranny ...

Also Pepperman has seen this car ... road in this car .... liked this car .... and Knew that my son Joe now had the car, which for us would allow for an easy story for the car to help hid the project form Pepps ...

Even when Brandon brought the car at 1 AM on Thursday ... leaving only Friday to work on the car I told Pepps that I had paid Brandon to fix up the car for Joe and we were going to surprise him with in on Saturday when he came for the cruise. I had told Pepps that the tranny had died and I took the car to fix the tranny for Joe... but he didn't know that I had been painted, and all the other work that Brandon had done to it including the detailing that Brandon and JD spent on it on Friday.

Pepps comment ... Damn I'd love a car like that ... Joe's going to love what you are doing for him.... I wish my car would get hit so I could take the insurance money to get a Mark VIII.

Later that day while everyone was on the scavenger hunt ... Pepps talked about surprised he was that we did this for him and how unbelievable it was ....

Pepps... I really wish I coulda been there to see your face... hope youre enjoying the drive home... I contributed what I had at the time man... Brandon I give you mad props for getting it all done because I know how busy you have been with other projects and Im glad you thought of this project... this kinda stuff is why I talk about LVC more than my mustang forums... the higher class of car shows with the high class people we have here and I am damn glad to be a part of it...

this was awesome. i wish i could have been there too but its a haul and i cant just get up and leave my job and family. i want to come next year though, i would love a little vacation and to meet some new faces behind the lvc names. this place does kick ass doesnt it!

Well Jamie this is why we already know when the 2011 Boscobel Beach Party will be ..

July 15-17, 2011 so people from fruther away can put it on the calendar and start saving and making plans ...

Beach Party is always the 3rd weekend of July ...

And plans are already in the making for the Cruise and activities ... I'll have a thread started for discussion ... Oh and the Kiker's are planning on coming from AL for the Beach Party next year ...

I just want to say congratulations to Pepps. This was the first I read of this. I haven't been around much... Too much work. Sorry I wasn't involved.
It is amazing that people can get together to do such a thing. Rich I assume that was one of your cars !!
