Anyway, there was a story to this car, but basically I used to work on this car at the dealership. That white car that I posted last week that was smashed was the wife of the guy that owned this car. Gary, the owner of this car passed away like 6 months ago from a heart attack. The car has sat in the garage for that long, they kinda sorta tried to sell it from what I understand, but anywho... They called me on tuesday night and asked me if I would get the car running so they could drive it to meet a whole saler that was bringing a car they just bought down from Kentucky. I got there and the battery was dead, so I threw one in it. Shorly thereafter I figured out that the air pump was dead, so the car stayed slammed in the front. Fired it up and added some transmission fluid. The lady said she needed $1500 bux to keep it from going to a whole saler, so thats when I put the post up here that it was for sale. Anyway, Jamie and I made a deal and I went and bought the car. The car has really nice paint, it may need a buffer run over it real quick though, it has some really, really fine scratches in it that most 12 y/o black cars seem to get, but no major scratches or dents to speak of. The cup holder even works, and isnt broken. Car needs the headlights deglazed and it has a dead HID. Jamie is gonna send up a suspension pump and I'll install it, then he is flying up here in a week to come get this thing.
Here are some pics.
Slammed
The passenger side strut wouldnt come down, so I gave it some juice and put some air to it.
Car is sitting level with some blocks of wood on top of the control arms, this is just so I can drive it up on a lift to put the compressor in.
Engine with some degreaser on it.
Car gettin a baff...
All cleaned up.
Clean engine compartment
Lastly, this is just something interesting. The guy Eric from Injected Engineering in Atlanta, the guy that did Mike Schultz's car used to be a technician for my current Service Manager, Fred Villa. He was checking the car out and told me to wipe the headlights down with brake fluid. I had no idea it would work as good as it did. Here is the after pic.
