The Lincoln has been kicked out of the garage for the next month. We are in the process of buying a new home here in the Springs, and I needed the space to store new appliances, boxes, and what not. So out it went, into the cold, rain, snow, and strapped to a metal trailer deck.

The 95 is NOT happy with me, and will probably leave me stranded one day just to spite.

Take care of your VIIIs boys, they can be cruel mistresses sometimes.

Mine will not go in the garage at all this winter (the 68 is more important AND has not paint atm

you guys with garages are lucky, my car has sat through 4 winters since we got the car 4 years ago, this year ive managed to let my parents let me put it in the driveway with a cover on it, all thats left to do is get the headlights back when they are finito from jamie, no rush though, can't wait to see how good they look !

Mine sits out from time to time.to work on a project here and there.
See the picture to the left.

Keep it washed with a good layer of wax on it all the time to protect it from the sun and throw in one of those windshield visors for the interior...I've never had a garage spot for my cars and haven't had a problem, I had my toreador red 97 Thunderbird for 4-5 years which sat outside all the time..I was always good about washing it to save the paint..cause that color in specific likes to fade really bad if you don't take care of it..and for gods sake don't park under trees..sap, leaves and bird sh*t are a paints worst nightmare..I vote get a cover if you're really worried about it.

Lol,

Its only gonna be outside for another couple weeks. After that, its getting backed into our nice heated garage.

I just don't like it sitting outside at all.

Ill come out there and store it for you here in south fla. Beautiful weather here.

I really must baby mine because it never see's rain, it has it's own double car garage, heated and is parked on carpet. It's like it has it's own bedroom lol. I have an AC unit for the window but it wasn't in yet in this pic. I only cool it out there if I have something to work on, which is rare.

It did have to stay outside when I first bought it because I had burned the garage but it was only for 6 months and I kept it clean and under the trees for shade. I know the feeling about putting your baby outside. I would have to go across the street and ask the old lady if I could borrow one of her garages. She only has one car. Most everyone in my subdivision have double car garages and it really pisses me off to see them park their cars outside while they use the garage for hoarding. Some of these cars are 50K to 80K and they just leave them outside like that pile of sh!t they have in the garage is worth more. I have around $3500 in mine and the bitch is staying indoors.

Last years biggest snow we have had in years.

As for rain and snow, if I need to go somewhere, I drive the ole 88 GMC for that. But yes, like said by someone up above. If you have a garage, be thankful. They do save a car from a lot more than what people realize. You can also work on your car during rainy days, sunny hot days, no people driving by and rubber necking and one of my main things is that maybe I'm home or maybe I'm not. The new door I wanted has no windows and the side window (that does show) has black wrapping paper up, facing the outside so no eyeballs can peak in and see if I'm home or not. I'm not the type that likes people just popping up and expecting me to be home. Also, no thieving if you have that going on in your area.

BTW, lemme get them bumper covers. :p

My Mark VIII didn't respond well to it's first winter.
The moisture in the dryer expanded and it ripped itself off of the compressor- leaving me with a Mark VIII riding on it's floor boards driving on the turnpikes of Northern Jersey in the winter.

Spiteful car.

Mine see's regular winter duty.
Sorry to say.
Hope to make that change soon.

Almost bit it last night with the 3 inches we got.
Sitting at a red light, a car comes...dam Pontiac.. car is trying to turn and he can't he is sliding right at me.
Going to hit me for sure.
I had tc off and gave it gas. Thank god I have track loc.
Ran the red light to avoid getting hit, turned right.
The bastard missed me by 3 inches as he was heading for the ditch.
Crazy.
