Well, thanks to a certain someone I'm back on the road again! I finally get to give my truck a rest! Going to drive the Lincoln as my daily driver for the next few weeks.
Now all I need to do to the car is a spark plug wire change, spark plugs, upper control arms, passenger window motor, radio antenna, motor mounts, refurbish the headlamps, etc... You know... typical Mark VIII nonsence.
 
Dear guy with the longest signature i have ever seen... :) glad you got that joker fixed. You know the window motor prob isnt bad, it just needs those little plastic roller looking things.
 
SVT Lariat? No such thing. I have installed Cobra seats in GTs before but that dont make them a SVT-GT. :lol:

ANyway, glad you got the issue (main one) resolved and shes on the road again. Yours is one of my favorite first gen cars here. :)

Dear Dan... You are absolutly correct about my sig & I plead the 5th, lol... I guess I just love my toys, about those little plastic things, I have yet to take apart a window motor so I have NO IDEA what you guys are talking about!

Laser....... Yes, you are being quite a big dick! lol... Hey, it's called wishful thinking man. I never finished that project. The Lincoln stepped in its way but I had planned on installing a 2003 SC Cobra motor in my truck & I even had custom SVT Lariat badges done for the truck. Not to say it may not happen in the future but definitely not any time soon.

C'mon Jamie... Everyone on here knows from the last thread I started about 10 days ago that you were the one that hooked me up!!! The hell with hooked me up, more like BEYOND hooked me up!:D I didnt know it was my place to tell everyone. My bad dude!

Needless to say, I'm happier than a f@g with 2 @sses!
The car is severely under powered though! I need to do a spark plug /wire change, air filter, motor mounts & I think it's time to change the fuel filter. Feels like I'm driving a V6 & the fuel economy is showing it.
 
we haz the same two daily drivers. but my truck is a 98' f250 light duty. and mine is not as pretty or ballin as yours. put it this way. if your truck had a sh!t it would poop out my truck.

i'm not upset lol but now you have no excuse to not make it to the next mark VIII meet, if anyone ever shows interest again :(
 
I'll be there... not in my Mark VIII though, I still don't trust it for long hauls with those upper control arms having issues (rims rub when turning) & I have a feeling the lower control arm bushings aren't much better. I'll probably go in my truck... Sucks though, defeats the "Mark VIII" feel to my trip! I gotta do it though!
 
by the time we have another meet if we do, you will have had plenty of time to make the money and repair the front end, because by the lack of interest shown so far you might have a few years. thats how long it took to have 2 meets here, 2 or 3 years in between!

Damn... Didnt know it was that bad... Shame though, the pictures from your last meet could tell a diferrent story. Seems like not only was everyone interested but everyone had a great time.

Hmmm, Sounds like words from a man that no longer owns a Mark VIII!!! lol, j/k man... I would've done the same thing & completely understand your desicion! Hell, just 10 days ago I was about to do the same thing. Luckily Jamie came to teh rescue! A Mark VIII/LS meet would be a great idea!
 
hey im down now all we need is a new thread and see how it goes from there. It would have to be in Miami though right Alex? lol
 
oh Alex something i forgot to mention, i might be going back to our homepage soon, TCCOA really thinking hard about it ;)
