Welp, I'm back in Illinois till tomorrow morning because of a death in the family. While I am back, we decided to load up the truck with some stuff to be hauled back to CO.

While here, I found a KILLER deal on a new Caterpillar front end loader. With the new house needing landscaping, I figured what the hell and bought it.

I hope the tie Downs are heavy enough.

Mike.

Lol. I was thinking you may need some chain to tie it down, until I zoomed in and got a smirk on my face. I think you'll be fine. :)

Nice...... I hope you leave it there the whole trip..... can't imagine peoples looks as they pass you

If he left it there for the trip we will start seeing some demotivational posters inline soon featuring that him.

May need to move it forward to get the tongue weight correct

There are several issues that I immedeately noticed! I don't care how you have it strapped down, you need to place something behind those rear tires on the Caterpillar. If that becomes loose & comes off the trailer do you have any idea the catastrophe it will cause on the highway?!?!?!? Also, I have to agree with Buckeye68, PLEASE move it forward, the damn trailer is about to sit on its @ss & you may burst a rear tire from overweight.

It's ppl like you that make our roads so damn dangerous. Atleast you had the decency to take a picture of the Caterpillar already loaded & asked for opinions before takin it on the road.

Please be cautious.:)

Lawl Ed is probably considering renting his mark out for tractor pulls and moving companies.

ZMT that gas station looks familiar is that in Hays Ks?

Mike doesn't the DOT require you to use chains and boomers on all heavy equipment? I foresee a ticket in your future!!:shifty::D

yes it is. i was doing a super sale at the ford store right around the corner.

Wow.....

That's my old 94. That is one of if not the last picture before I parted it.

Dad was hauling it out to me then. So yes, its the same trailer.

He is at that.

Its amazing how much better that trailer looks in the picture than now. Its getting pretty rusty underneath.

I'm seriously considering buying the steel, and rebuilding an exact replica of it. I could reuse the axles springs, and wheels.
