stopped at powder today and picked up my intake and valve covers. i took these with my phone so they suck but the intake is just like i hoped, it paid off sanding it for 8 hours because the gloss black is like ice, so smooth there are no imperfections in it anywhere. the valve covers look awesome i wanted a red texture finish and thats what i got, came out perfect. they look ornage in the phone pics but thats why i need my real camera. i am not sure if i am going to put the little tag back on the driverside cover, i have it, but i may paint it to match and put it on or leave it off not sure yet. i dont know when i will put this stuff on but first i need to order new valve cover gaskets and intake gaskets.

not like it will make any difference, but i ported out the whole inside of the upper intake also, if anything air may flow a little better but i dont think it will make any power difference, and thats an 03-04 cobra throttle body too, but its the same t/b as the 97-98 mark. only way to prove it is the part number on the t/b.
this was before, actually these pics are about a year old thats how long i waited to powder it lol.

You may want to so something a little different with the COP covers to break up the red of the valve covers....

Maybe do some gloss black COP covers. IMO, the "Powered By Ford" COP look really good against wrinkle red valve covers. They're pretty hard to find now though.

Overall looks pretty cool!

i already looked into aftermarket cop covers and there is no way in hell i am paying what they sell for, its a chunk of scrap aluminum in my opinion, anywhere from $125 bucks up to 300 + no f-ing way!!!!!
i like alot of them but that is just crazy to pay that kind of money for 2 pieces of aluminum you never see. i am putting it all on the way it is, if i decide to change the cop covers up a little down the road i will but i'm happy with the all red look. i like alot of things simple. not to mention that half the pass side cop cover is blocked by the intake tube anyway so it dont really matter.

Yeah, I consider myself lucky that I decided to get mine back when they were selling for $40 shipped....

I wouldn't pay what they sell for now!

Going to look really good when you get them on, to bad when you close the hood you will not see them. Or you could have a custom hood made kind of like the supercharged Zo6. Of course I'm joking.

it will be seen enough we have a local cruise night every friday a mile from my house and another one on saturdays over near the citrus park mall in lutz i am gonna start showing it more since the changes and the weather is perfect right now at night.

Very nice! Can't wait to see the pics after you do the install. Hurry up.

don, i have not, i am waiting on brandon but i think we have that resolved, he said if i dont have my computer by this weekend he will eat a light bulb so i may put the pumpkin in this weekend!

Gorgeous! I have a feeling that it's going to look very, very sick under that hood!

+1... Lovin it!

Very nice! Need to do something with the coverd up badge area on the drivers side COP to break it up a tad. Also black bolts for the COP will also help add some definition to it all.

I am definatly PC'ing my next blower and valve covers cause the paint is just too hard to take care of. I wonder if they make PC in a titanium blue?

I think they powder coat in any color, but it's been a year since I have been around a powder coater, and I didn't ask many question then either!
