Gauging Interest in a "National LS Meet"

Hell yeah guys, us ohioans could all meet up and then head over together, each region had a group that travels together so if something does happen you have help. This should be awesome, I can only imagine what that hotel parking lot will look like, A sea of awesome.

you could always bring a ton hats with you and we could wear them in St. Louis.... lol
 
I'm definitely in for a meet, and not that I would expect everyone to plan around this, but I'll be in Hawaii in the beginning of June for my bro's wedding around the 9th; anything other than that I'll make work. :D
 
That's hilarious about the breakdown thing. So sad to bring along extra coils/plugs. Haha. Maybe toss in a degas bottle and a jug of coolant. Lolz

I'm sure the TX guys would come up through OKC and we could all roll up from here. Anywhere in MO or KS is pretty good central wise. I could go go to IN easily. But remember the cali guys will be going the furthest. So MO is prob a good cutoff for how far east.

We could guage interest and find the geographical center based on LS population that is willing and invade some random city. Lol

This sounds fun and all now, but I can see a year from now people bailing. Traveling across multiple states is a big deal for some. But I would say anything less than 20 LSes would be a dissappintment.
 
Depending on the where and when i would be interested. I'm in Iowa so i am about as centrally located as you can get.
 
There is a La Quinta in st. louis we can get rooms with two double beds for 70 bucks a night so if people want they can split the cost. and I'm sure they offer group rates.

That is if we do it in St. louis.

True. I think the thing that would make me bail would be traveling that far alone. I'm definitely down if a good lil gang of ls's roll up to st.Louis.
 
I think St. Louis would be a great location for the majority of the people who will come, I know I wouldn't drive much farther west due to expeses, but i couls surely swing St. Louis plus we know there will be stuff to do and see and also good picture oppertunities.

I am working on getting us a discount at five different hotels. The going rate is $50 a night. We can do better with a group rate. If some of you guys share a room and split the cost. Even better. I am asking for a discount for 20 rooms. With the possiblity of that number going up.

Bonus on location. 16 miles from downtown St Louis and the Arch. Hooters less then a mile away. Every possible chain resturant(fast food & sit down) you can think of less then a mile away.

I am still working on this guys.:)
 
Does the third weekend of June sound good to you guys?


Gateway Ford-Mercury Club sponsored car cruise that saturday too.
 
As long as it's not an East Coast thing, I can deal with this venue. I like it and though I can't guarantee my attendance, it's going on the calendar.
 
I'll just let you know, Theres no way I'm staying in any roach box hotel, I would recomend a double tree or La Quinta, Hilton, or breakers, I know we will only be there to sleep but no into shady hotels.

Other than that I can't wait to go.
 
Im a little late to chime in here but im sooo down for a natinal meet !!! i dont care where or when . im there!
 
I was hooping you would want to go, I figuire if justin can come he would meet me at my house then we would stop in columbus and meet you then head out.
 
Got it in my calendar, I don't have anything planned for the weekends for the next year for the most part.
 
Great idea. I don't think anyone can guarantee attendance being that its a year away.
 
thats one hell of a trip from ca...maybe us on the west coast can get together and plan a cruise up to the meet
 
I'm with Anton on the hotel thing. If I'm going to drive all that way for a weekend I'd want get a suite in a Marriott or Hilton type hotel. I know money might be an issue with some making the trip, so I wouldn't be trying to single anyone out. That's just what I would want to do
