Chrome Saleens on Ebay

How far would +32mm stick out? I have been wanting wheels for a little while... Do 9.5's even fit?

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Wheel offset is directly related to the width of the wheel. The slightest numerical changes in width and offset can actually change things quite a bit, see below.

Stock Lincoln Mark VIII Rims-

+39mm offset with a 16 X 7" wide wheel.

The wheels listed on this ebay sale are 18 x 9.5 @ a +32MM

using the "wheel offset calculator" -

The Inner Clearance is - 25mm LESS (the inside of the wheel to the strut housing)
Outer Position - EXTEND an extra 39mm (position of the outside edge of the wheel)

So.....with the wheels on this ebay listing the wheel will come one inch closer then stock wheels to the spindle in the front, and pushes the front wheel lip 1.5" closer to the fender + your tire/manufactures size differences on rims manufacturing tire size.

and on the backs an inch further down the lower control arm towards the shock and 1.5" closer to the fender....

FWIW I'm running-

18x9 Front with +30mm offset

Inner Clearance - 16mm LESS
Outer Position - EXTEND an extra 34mm

18x10 Rear with +45mm offset

Inner Clearance - 39mm LESS
Outer Position - EXTEND an extra 37mm

I dont remember how much room exactly I have up front, but I know the outside of the tire is pretty much even with inner fender lip and it fits good. There is not alot of room on the inside from what i remember and the difference between my wheels @ 9" wide and 30mm offset and the difference between your 9.5" wide and 32mm offset is 3/8" which that and a tire I couldnt tell you if they would work up front.

My backs are also pretty even with the fender lip, actually sucked in a little and do not stick out.

I could have went with a 285+ bigger tire (have 275 now) without a problem. My inner wheel lip is very close to the lower control arm however, around 1/4 inch less, id have to measure to be exact...but its fine. The brake cables must be ziptied/attached to the lower control arm or the rim WILL rub them.

All of this is without a fender roll and/or bumper trimming on both stock air suspension and coil springs @ factory height. Its the 2005+ mustang pattern/offset with a hubswap and fit great. Not much room for a wider rim out back without changing the offset on mine due to the control arm in the way but plenty of room for tire and not much room for a wider rim in the front or tire...i'm pretty much maxed out everywhere on a stock setup except for the rear tire could be larger. The tire, not the rim. Since the tire wont rub the control arm, just the fender (up/down travel)

Next set of tires will be wider, it looks great.... I didnt this time is because I had to order everything first and couldnt get the vehicle stuck on the lift, plus i got my back tires for a discount as a package and filled with nitrous ready to go. Also wanted to keep my speedo close to stock...by the next time I buy tires it wont matter. ;) I special ordered the front matching hankook v12's a size closer to the stock tire height, matching front and rear.

All of this also has to take the rubber in factor which have variances in size due to manufactures

Stock Mark VIII Tires

225/60VR16 - 26.62" tall 8.85 in wide

Common 18" Tire Sizes

245/45/18 - 26.68" tall 9.64 wide
255/45/18 - 27.03" tall 10.03 wide
275/40/18 - 26.66" tall 10.82 wide
285/40/18 - 26.97" tall 11.22 wide
295/40/18 - 27.29" tall 11.61 wide
305/35/18 - 26.40" tall 12" wide

You'll have no problems with them on the back, but i cant speak for the front in that offset with whatever size tire you chose. They may come close to the spindle and they may come close to the fender and look funny, but may work depending on the tire size you chose.

The tire sizes in bold are what i went with and are almost identical to stock height. I would not run anything wider up front as it may rub. Your results may vary.

Hope this helps.

9.5 will fit with no problem. arent those replica gt500's?

yeah you can fit a 9.5 inch wheel, but i believe the backspacing for the gt500 wheels won't work up front.

actually, if the offset really is 32 mm, they should work.
the originals are a 45 mm offset, which won't work.

I am trying to get these to grow on me, but I don't know. What do you think?

Driller has something similiar on the Blue car. I think they looks excellent on a Mark. You can buy these from supercoupe, Thecustomewheelshop.com, and mark8muscle.com for $170.

He's got FR500's on his. Same as mine, except mine are Black Chrome and my rears are 10 inches wide.

They're only available in the Mustang bolt pattern though...

FR500's...that's it. They are similiar to these. Not exact, but similiar. This style just looks good on a Mark. I would say K9's look great but his head might swell more than it already is....haha.
