Check out this 68K black 98 for $1000

Honestly, I do think that is a deal. Doesn't look like major damage, maybe a header panel, air bags, headlights and a bumper cover.

I think it's a great deal. Similar deal to my black '97 & now it's my wife's daily driver. 64,000 car with bad bags & horrible paint. At least this one has very good paint. Just replace the bad parts, paint to match & on you go!

I might have to go check this one out because the stuff it needs isn't hard to come by. Looks to be a simple project and black isn't a hard color to paint. Done it once, I can do it again.

I've got a good condition black hood :)

I spy octi's on the 900 dollar one. Even with the high miles a trans swap is easier and cheaper then a new front end/hood/headlight ect.. Not to mention the rear window wrinkle. If the white one is in as good of shape as the 1 picture makes it out to be i'd much rather have that.

But the other one IS a southern car........ :blah:

I was thinking the same thing..and I thought you guys would rather have a higher mileage car that's been driven and maintained..

I would like another Mark VIII. One with a nice Black interior and a good lower miles drive train. I want the black interior for my 93 and then I'd make a drag race car only out of the remains. For hot rodding I've found it's much better to start with a low miles car. If that Black car had Black interior I'd be after it.

Can't believe this car is still there. If I was into the Gen 2's, I'd be all over it. Bet it wouldn't take much money to have this thing fixed. I bet some of you have all the parts and could have it done in a weekend. If it was a tad closer, I'd go look at the inside but I'm not driving 2 hours to go look.

Looks may be deceiving. I paid $300 for mine and it looked like this.

For the novice future Mark owner, this could turn into a $3000 Mark real quick.

True. Mine wasn't even wrecked but because of buying all new front lenses and grille and air shocks and some other things, I have went into the $3,000 spot, not including the $2000 I paid for the car but.... it was things that I wanted and it's said and done.

I still feel like that black one is worth it, if the interior is in good to excellent condition. If the front is straight, it might only take another $1500 to have it looking good with used parts. Possibility!
