It can be fixed no problem, but the is it worth it....myself I'd have it fixed if rest of vehicle checked out

But I'm also currently in the hunt for another Gen 2 for the wifey...or a super clean Gen 1

The lady backed into a wall at a slow speed, and the quarter crumpled, pushed in the rear bumper, broke the neon. I am debating. The only other problem is a tranny dont shift into 3rd or OD.

I agree, most of that would come out on the frame/body machine. Probably good enough to hammer out. Even if it doesn't, all you need is a donor car with a good 1/4 panel. If the rest of the car is good and you get it for a good price, it could work out well for you.

i don't think it'd be a bad fix, plus i know you have the parts

Parts car.

if you know what your doing id say yes if not bring it to ny and ill buy you and your lady dinner were ever you want and well call it even?

fix or not

Good looking car and the price was right. The damage under the rear bumper is the catch.I would repair it.

You can't go wrong for $400. Hummm, Bill can take Sapper's trans from his 93 an be back in a real car again. Just a thought. Nice find!! Down here the junkyard will give you $600 if it has a motor, trans, and catalytic converters.

Good find Greg. I have those shocks whenever you'd like them give me a holler.

For others in this thread. How much does putting your car on a frame machine usually cost? Just curious? :D

i think you guys are missing the rest of the damage. the damage to the quarter panel is secondary, the primary damage is to the left lower rail. I betcha the lower rail is kinked and down, that what buckled the quarter panel. probably not worth fixing, good parts car though.

Explain... ... left lower rail? ...

The damage is just in the quarter panel. Underneath is still straight. The outer damage makes it looks worse. The duct tape holding the light on just looks hideous.

the rail is the structural part of the car, its on either side of the trunk floor. pull all the trim out of the trunk and there should be damage to the rail and trunk floor. If the car was hit from the back and compressed that qp enough to buckle it up, what do you think happened to all the parts that are welded to it(inner and outer wheelhouse, lt rail, trunk floor) My point is the damage to the qp is only what you can see, there is more then likely quite a bit of internal damage. The car will definatly need a frame machine, pull time and after the car is straightened then everything can be repaired.
