12's KICKING DOWN THE DOOR N/A

The only one that mentioned rules was you. I simply stated what I do.
Fair enough
You posted his time was artificial, that is what got me started.

Nothing wrong with that, and absolutely nothing wrong with what Frank did, but again, it's not a game that I choose to play with my LSC.

I have a Cobra for that.

FWIW
There is little or no doubt in my mind he could put stock int. in that car and still hold the record.
But I prefer he leaves this time as is, But I'm not his wife.....:D

Didn't you have slicks on. I'm not an expert but who drives around with those and skinnies. If anything I think that makes it a non street car.

I'm on my second set of M/T street ETs because I run them all the time. Two and a half years so far. I do have a set of 255-50-17 BFG Comp TAs on Cobra Rs wheels for if I want to travel a long distance. But with them on it will spin through first, second, and third gear. Then the light wieghts on the front I have driven it like that for weeks. It just doesn't handle as well and mine looks funky. But Franks at least looks good.

I wish Driller would post the nice pic of his car,one from inside his garage in this post. The car looks way more "blue" in the garage then on the track. His looks sweet. I kinda think red and blue are opposite colors so it would look cool to see both with "welds" and next to each other. Pick your poison. :)

This one? The only one I could find of the Welds on front in the garage.

What color blue is that Driller?

'93 Nordic Blue... last year's fresh repaint. I think it may have a bit more pearl in it than the factory paint. But the original paint was 18 years old so it would make sense it would brighter new.

Yep thats the one. I was hoping you had a nice side shot of her in your stash. Fresh paint mmmmm. Hey JP you have a vid on Dragtimes and it looks like the car is covered in road salt?????

This is why I'm not running ET Streets. Just picked up these brand new off craigslist $100 for the pair! He did little burnout with one, on a one wheel peel car just scuffing one. Saved 250 bones.

I'll have to look for more pics.

That vid is still up? Yeah, there was one where the car was covered in road salt. I have to trek across the mountains to get to track. It was early March and it snowed in the mountains the night before. Likely the dirtiest the car has ever been. LOL :D

Looks like you need to step up to an enclosed trailer. LOL I was like WTF is on that car! Didn't know if its was drag track or mud bogs.:) (please note all said was in fun)

Can't you just use any dual or tri axle trailer?

Yeah, either at 100% or over the GVWR of the 7000 lb trailer or over the 8000 lb towing capacity of the hauler.

I need a bigger truck for a heavier trailer or a lighter all aluminum 10,000 lb GVWR trailer.

To try to bring this thread back on topic, I thought this comparison of 12 second Mark VIII timeslips was interesting. :D

Looking at those time slips, it looks like you are faster off the line with your lower 60' and 1/8 mile and higher speed @ 1/8 mile, but Frank seemed to almost match your acceleration on the next 1/8 mile up to the 1/4 since you barely edged him out by about 4 hundredths!

Frank - 12.810-8.152 = 4.658 sec
You - 12.550-7.935 = 4.615 sec

Gears & weight makes sense to me?

The track weight went from 4050 to around 4140, so pretty close once all said and done.

Frank, Please explain to me how you launch yours so well with out power braking it ?? :bowrofl: I would like to improve mine at this Carolina thunder meet comming up on Nov. 25

Someone explain to me their exact technique of flashing. I've heard some people say that it is simply matting the gas on the amber. That's hogwash and NOT the way to flash.

Every time I have heard someone explain flashing it sound like just flooring it from idle. I have tried that and it is always been slower. Mine to date is fastest when I power brake it as hard as I can. Can anybody explain what I am missing ???
