i took this video tonight with my daughter Ipod touch i cant get a good run without manual shifting my rear tires just boil after i put the new hankooks on this week i'll try it again, but here is the video manually shifting. sorry i didnt realize the video was so long.

Way to go turd burgler, can't see the damn speedo. I think Terry's car has ya beat! Jk, I told Robyn as I was watching that video that your car seems to have some good low end grunt.
 
I wish I didnt have a freakin spare on my car. I really wanna make a video of mine doing it to show ya what fast really is. :p
 
it does have low end grunt dan but i cannot apply it to the ground with them michelin ps II's they are spent they slip around normal corners now when i pull off side streets and accelerate normally they slip like they are on grease. i knew when i got them that they have a doo doo life so i cant complain, but i was ready to put the hankooks on like a month ago, i need my new rubber on bad. and terry, go take another xanax. if you want to see how close, when i get the tires on we'll meet half way and we can line them up somewhere in boonieville!



wtf do you mean you cant see the speedo? are you blind it goes 20-40-60-80 i can see it plain as day.

the last time you showed us what fast was, that motor started sounding like someone threw a wrench in the crankcase, fast was my carpentry skills boxing you up another short block, take it easy turbo.

Don't be pickin on the ole 95 Jamie. :p It's 1 second quicker than a stock 97-98 and that's a fact. Let me get headers and duals and chip and wide ass tires and j-mod. I'll meet you half way with my stock size BF's lol
 
Nice video. These transmission's can handle being shifted like that? I have never taken mine over 4k and half throttle, yet. I know that road cannot name it, looks like the road my brother used to ride on his ZX10.

Thats not true. Posted drag videos after the new motor was installed.

That motor is a damn testament to how pointless mileage is on these blocks. Thing still starts up dead silent, is always smooth, dont leak and dont smoke. It loves the blower it has too. Very happy with that giant chunk of aluminum. :)

I made a couple 0-100 videos a few months back but I made the mistake of using my Pentax and the sound sucked and the video was a blur.
Next time I will use the Droid cause it makes nice vids.
I tried to get Sapper to come for a two mile WOT speed run but he wussed out. :lol:


PS: Your shift points are way too early. Even with you manualy shifting the car would still do the 2-3 shift when it wants and you are a good 500 RPM too low. Tell Brandon to adjust your shift points a little and add 10% more pressure. Id command another 400 for the 1-2 shift and 500 for the 2-3 shift and pull out the shift timing retard as well.

Also make sure your vehicle acceleration rate is good. Get the car to 50 MPH in 3rd and nail the throttle to make sure it can kick down into second and upshift again without hiting its time sequence limit. If the time is off then it will bounce of the rev limiter once before it shifts.

Looking at the two vids and timing them your car is a whole 1.2 seconds faster then his to 60.
I know he has bad tires so who knows what will happen with the new rubber.

Yeah, I could tell he had some spin going on. That's why I wanted to do mine again on a better street than I did the other day. Lose too much time messin around and spinnin tires. He'd get me with some grip with ease, I'm sure.
 
bill the computer in my car is still the same one i got the car with , with the sniper, so i wont know anything about brandons tune until i get it, which he said i would of had this week, and i still dont have it, so there goes another weekend i cannot put the new diff in. i love when everyone bitches when i cant make things pop into their hands instantly, but when i need something i gotta wait a :q:q:q:qing month!!!! i took a video of me on US 19 doing about 50 and stabbing it, let me upload it. and the road is called anclote rd.



dont mind the music i was jammin out, its a little ways into the video where i let it kick down, this car does have a mean kick down, around 45-50 mph if you put it to the floor it really gets up there quick, i was messing with a guy in a bmw 730 after this video, it was white with big white 5 spoke 22's and rubber bands he kept taking off on the side of me so finally i put on my seat belt and turned the radio off and played a little street racing with him, after pulling away from his hard 3 times in a row he gave me a thumbs up and turned off 19, i thought that was cool!

Jamie, to me either you have gears other than stock or something. That first vid shows you running a constant 50 mph for the first part of that vid. And looking at the rpm gauge you are running 2200rpms at 50 mph, were you in Drive or OD? Kinda high on the RPM isn't it for 50?

He has 3:73's but he most likely had OD turned off.
 
i have 3:73's now, i honestly cannot remember if the over drive was on or off with the over drive on, arounf 55-60 i am spinning about 2200 rpms so it might have been on i dont remember, i shut it off later in the video's from last night. and i dont get drone with my exhaust, not at all, because its layed out right, my 98 lsc had so much drone i wanted to put the car into a wall when i drove it, but you can ask rich and elliot on here, they have both been in my car i have zero drone anywhere through the rpm range.
 
Jamie, until you get whatever from Brandon, I would really like to see you try out a stock computer without that Sniper tune. As I look back at that video, the shifting is being held back. I thought it was spin but if it was, the tach would have raised in rpm. I seriously think the sniper tune is holding you back more than you think.

You have 3:73's, Kook's headers, under drive pulley's, Seeing how you haven't tried it yet, it can't hurt anything. Not like it's a hour job or anything. Quick and simple and I believe you would see a lot faster 0-60 time.
 
Jamie, I drove mine today to see where mine is at when driving at 50. And mine is stock and it was at 16-1700 rpm. So that is why I asked if you were in od or not and the gears.
 
terry i cant put a stock computer in, it would screw with everything, my shift points, the gears, the speedo, i have no smog pump, no emmisions lines, no egr valve, so much crap eliminated i dont think the car would run worth a :q:q:q:q with a stock computer.

I wasn't thinking about all that stuff being eliminated.
