Here are some (almost dark) pics of the new halogen housings with the dual HID kits in them. 6000K in the high beam and 8000K in the low beam. The car was not running at all with the lights on in any of these pics. Going to aim them tonight if I have time.

Yes, right after I took these pics, I fixed the one black plastic tab on the bottom right lol. It's white now and it was about to drive me insane.

So true this is lol. :D I surely don't go anywhere to need the bright lights turned on. I did have to drive to Birmingham, AL. yesterday for that dumb ass "REASONABLE / PRUDENT" ticket I got when I was coming back from Auburn and because the female cop didn't write down the speed zone I was in and she didn't clock me, it was dismissed. Cost me nearly $45 in gas just to get there and back for a "technical difficulty" is what the DA called it but oh well, no fine, no court cost and free to go. I'm not complaining.

For those of you that don't know, I owned the 94 for 5 years and only put a little under 19,000K on the car. Jamie, I might take a vacation and if so, it will be in Florida. June or July I'll be down there.

come on down dude. i am seriously thinking about trying to throw another mark VIII meet and cook out at howard park which is also a sugar white sand beach, its hwere we had the first mark VIII meet, coming down for that would kick ass, specially if people will show again like last time. we had a double sized charcoal grill with tons of food cooking, it was a great time, i really want to have another one and get even more marks to show!

Well I may be in Florida soon. In fact, I may be down there to find a 98 LSC all black. I am about to sell business and think I may take a trip around the states. Planned on stopping in Palm Harbor anyway to visit fam.

And those HIDS look nice! I finally had one sorta fail. Time for me to order another set.

I'll come down for a meet if you agree to wash the bugs off the front of the car lol. Driving to Birmingham yesterday and back during the daytime, plastered bugs all over the front. I had to wash it right when I got home before they really had time to dry and plastered bugs on the new grille really pissed me off. They all came off easy though. I'm trying to figure out why bugs were out during the day. I could imagine how it would have looked driving during the night.

Tonight I went down the road from where I live where there is a vacant parking lot that's level and no lights are on out there. I didn't feel like playing in the tunnel tonight but now I have the new housings aimed and pics to show the light output with both high and low beams on and with low beams only.

I'm sure I'll have to do some minor adjustments later but for now, they're good enough and straight.

Pictures of these are nothing like seeing them in person. They really put out some extremely bright light. I might get a set of some 10,000K bulbs because I still want more blue than what I have.

Good grief! Those are some awesome lights. If I could find some cheap housings and HID's I'd love to do that. i can barely see at all at night in my '96. My '97 LSC has great lights though.

Where did you get your housings? I have been searching all around and the stealership is the only place I can find them.... Like 650 for both just halogen housings.

WOW!!! 661.11 for one side. I wonder why so much when I got lights for my explorer, jeep, jetta, and grand prix for like 100 for a set

Mine were right at $230 for each housing. I don't know anyone stupid enough to pay $661 for one side. Another reason I bought new housings was because my car is garage kept and they rarely ever see any sun beaming down on them. Just that alone will cause fading and another reason is because I wanted some that had never seen a 65 watt halogen bulb lit inside. Mine have only had HID's installed and I'll never have to worry with them fading or the inner chrome burning.

After I bought those, the grille was next. At the time, it was $284 + shipping from the same place but now it's $345 new. Then I bought new corner lenses so that the whole front end had a much newer look to it and everything still looks just like the day I bought all the stuff. The corner lenses were around $160 or $170 but now they are well into the $200's. The things I bought will one day soon be "discontinued" and I didn't want that day to hit me when I wanted it. The car lives the majority of it's life inside the garage and never gets driven in the rain, unless I happen to get caught out in it. It's dried ASAP if this happens.

Just bought two new OEM Motorcraft front air shocks for it. The right side was $340 and the left was $333 and these too will become discontinued. These should last me well over 10 years or longer if taken care of.

Why are parts so hard to find on the mark viii's? It seems there are a lot of them out there

Because they are old. They only make things for so long and with the Mark VIII only being a 5 year old run that stopped in early 98, they won't keep on making things for it. As a matter of fact, I doubt they are making anything for them anymore. Just like the new air shocks. They are showing to be made in 2008

See bottom right date.

Hey, guys I checked the local auto parts store (advance auto), and they said they can get our 1st gen mark viii lights for like 400 for both. I just thought I would pass on the info to everyone looking for lights. I will possibly pick some up for mine.

These lights look really good. I need to do this to my ladys 300. The stock halogens on it are simply horrible.

Manufacturers are required to make car parts are made for 10 years after the last model rolls off the line. Last year 98, last parts year 2008. Any parts you find now are leftovers and not in production. Some cars are an exception like the mustangs.

when your hi beams are on do both come on? when you bought lights they came with hid's or you bought somewhere else? ive got gen 2 was going to get halogen housings and convert, or blackout mine and go projector.i recently had brain storm of keeping stock hid's and converting high to 8 or 10k when hi's are on the lows are off going to wire themboth on hi
