For those who are already sensor lowered, to achieve a decent height, how many inches below the current mounting holes do I need to go?

Below? You need to go above. I used the OEM top hole in the body in the OEM lower hole on the bracket then drilled a new top hole. Gave the car a nice stance. You also have a good range of adjustment in the ball as well.

if i recall, a half inch or so? its been awhile, but you still have good adjustment in the bracket itself. its slotted.
i didn't get as low as i wanted, but i might be tricked by my short tires..

mine is not maxed out, its only about 1\2 inch above the stock hole. i ended up slotting the hole for the ball mount even more to dial mine in exactly how i wanted it also.

On my 93 I did the following:

FRONT: Unbolted both bolts holding the metal bracket, brought the bracket up to match the top hole on the car with the bottom hole on the bracket Then drilled a new hole on the car for the top hole on the bracket. I stretched the sensor all the way down on the bracket because I didn't want it too low.

Rear: Loosen up both rear bolts & stretched the sensor as far as it went! Thats it.

End result was a nice lowered car but.........

i see an air ride leak in someones future. like near future.

Jamie's right... unless you have new bags, those bags are 14 years old. Which means that so are the creases, the cracks, the folds, etc... It may not happen overnight but it will start happening sooner or later. Hence my swap from bags to Eibach springs.

Same here. I have one bag leaking from sensor lowering on old bags. I'm not removing my air ride but I am getting two new OEM bags, one at a time because of the crazy azz pricing. Then I'll know I'm good to go for at least 8 to 10 years. I have an extra rear set already. I put Vaseline on the rubber and bagged them up and put them in the closet for just in case purposes.

It has been a while since I rode on air. Mine currently has springs now. I have enough air parts to put on two marks. What was the original position for the sensors? Mine are just hang there.

omfg greg look at your brake lines. i think i would be fixing them rotted death traps before i put air back on it holy rot!!!!!!

Put the stud in the center to start out G.. go from there.
Up sits the car lower.

well i guess its my eyes then, i'm not used to seeing dirt or mud all over the chassis of a mark VIII. i dont take mine 4 wheelin so from the pic your " dirt and mud " looks exactly like a car thats full of rust. then again cell phones dont really take clear pictures. i'm sure anyone will agree that in the picture, where your metal brake line threads into the rubber part that looks just like a brake line nut that is rusted into the line. sorry for the mistake, go take it through a car wash.

Yeh Jamie, I remember the first time I went to a pick-n-pull here in Florida and got under some cars, I was like WTF?!?! These cars look like they're on a showroom floor! Gotta love Florida cars!

Last time I was in Maine, I helped my sister with her 2004 Isuzu sport utility. It had broken down and was not firing the injectors. I tracked it to a crank sensor. As my sister and I are taking bolts out of the splash guards, pulleys, other covers, they are just totally RUSTY and most are just breaking off. I finally got frustrated and said bring this to a shop and let them deal with it (we were working in her driveway).

Shop charged her $800 to fix it. Unreal! I kinda felt bad after that!
