One feature you wish your Mark had

Ah, I've only been looking at Gen I's so that's probably why.
The price on Gen II in Sweden is crazy. People are asking 10-13 thousand dollars for them! Most likely because Gen II is more rare than gen I for some odd reason.

well they did make about 64,000 more gen Is than IIs

A built in wall for 2 18's and the rear speakers on the rear shelf.
 
One feature I would like most on my Mark are : Adaptive Headlights!


If I had the option, I would go with a 9" monitor to go with the external cameras and (FLIR) night vision but I can easily put that in later.



Of course, most but not all the features listed above a nice too. :)

I wish my 1st gen had the cool stuff that 2nd gens have..... puddle lights, mirror turn signals, heated seats, telescoping steering column... etc.

Also, sequential taillights from the factory
 
It would be called a LMV (Luxury Multipurpose Vehicle). It would be able to be used to go to church or pull a trailer load of garbage to the dump. Our cars already have pretty much the same drive train as an F150 so it shouldn't take much to upgrade the tow rating so that it's the same.

Um mark8 does have the same drivetrain as F-150. My f150 has a 4R70W trans same as mark my f150 has same 8.8 rear end as mark. F150's come with 4.6L engines, 2v not 4v but still 4.6L. No?

Yes and no.

There are different flavors of 4r70w and 8.8 rears. I actually see more f150s with the 9.75 rear anyways.

Try to swap your truck 4r70 and 8.8 into the mark and let me know how it works. the only things shared in the rear are the gears.

I hear the words "drivetrain" and I think of the components that move the car. So... different axles, different pumpkin (uses same gears), different drive shaft, different tail shaft (are F series W?), different block, intake, heads, cam, charging system...... So yeah, different.
 
You guys are unreal some time. such stickler for samantics. A 4R70W is a 4R70W if ford wanted to name it different the trans in MY f150 would not be called a 4R70W. Also I can take 8.8 gears out of my truck rear and intall them into my mark 8.8 rear. But I do understand where some peeps go literal that a part has to fit exactly.

No I just put a solid rear 8.8 into my mark. No really LOL.

I don't. But it's almost 3am and I'm about ready to go to bed. I could sure use one for temporary purposes right about now as long as it's attached to the proper vagina-life-support mechanism.

Yes! A time machine built into the Mark would be pretty awesome to have as well.
 
One "feature" I wish my 94 DIDN'T have is that damn auto-down driver side window! I despise those ~almost~ as much as friggin side-post batteries.

If I'm in heavy traffic at highway speed (esp. if it's raining) and want to crack the window an inch, I don't want to have to futz around with it... down too much, then back up too much, then back down, up trying to stop it at just the right place... grrrrrr.

Otherwise, if mine had come with chrome 10 spoke directionals I'd be happy with it as is...
