I bought some MHT LLC 2pc forged wheels that will be color matched. I was tired of waiting for lexani to get new barrels in for the rear wheels so i went with mht.

Looks like quite a project. Change that rusty idler pulley out and replace when you detail it. I look forward to seeing the finished result.

thanks. im going to see if the dealer has one today. hopefully i can finish all the cosmetic mods by june, and have it ready for a vortech by september.

I believe I paid $13 shipped for one on Ebay and got it within a few days.

The paint has been laid. it just need to be wet sanded and buffed, should be done sat. also he forgot about doing the lsc moldings and those are being finished today.
It feels good to have a car with no door dings or scratches, Hope fully i can keep it that way.

Looks like it is turning out really nice.

Did you do all the prep work? If so do you have any tips for us looking to take on project such as this? Thanks.

It is looking damn good. It'll be the freshest paint on the site and probably the lowest mileage motor on the site too. Gonna look good.
thanks man
from looking at the motor when it came in, i didnt think it would run so quiet, with no vibration. if it wasnt for the exhaust i wouldnt know it was on.

Looks really good! Can't wait to see it with the painted wheels
I hope it looks good, i would hate to have to take them apart to be chrome dipped again.

Looking good! I'll be doing the same to my mirrors shortly.
judging from the work you did on your tail lights, doing the mirrows should be a cake walk for you.

Nice, what paint code did you use? Or did you do a all out different color?
I cant remember the ivory paint code off hand, but its the factory ivory, its just dusty and it needs to be wet sanded and buffed, then the tru color will show.

Sweet man looking good.

wow, you are doing a superb job

damn, I need money! Looks good man, cant wait to see it all together!

thanks for all the compliments.

Keep it up and make us proud!
While you're there, why don't you paint behind the grill black?
Can't wait to see your car when it's done.

Gotta love the fresh paint:D

Damn, do they have any more low mileage engines? There's a 98 LSC with 86k here in AZ, but they want the same price you paid.

There are 5 with 40K miles or less on car-part.com for $1,000 or less. There is a 30K miles one very close to me for a grand.
