Is it even possible to find new? Sapper said he called a couple places and it was over $1000. Screw that, would be cheaper to cut the seal off and do the window trim mod like KK and ....... damn, whatshisname? Dude with the killer black second gen with the nose and hood...... damn.

Anywho, at some point I want to get rid of my seal with a clean window seal and hate the cover up crap. So if anyone has a heads up on best place to get a new one, please let me know. :)

I got mine for my 94 for $425.00 installed. The glass place near me screwed up on the quote and had to honor it;)

Just for the hell of it, I went on the website of the place I got mine from and did an online quote and for a 98 its $303.97 and for a 1st gen, its $292.00

The connector for it is dead center top, wire then runs to driver side and down

I have my eye on few shops that's going to redo my glass and my son's 97. I don't know if they are brand new, but the ones I've seen are new enough with good rubber. Bill you should venture into the DFW area. There should be plenty of shops with the rear glass.

Since it's no good anymore, I'd put a Gen 1 glass in. If we're talking about the cell phone antenna.

Terry, all 2nd gens have the stereo ant in the rear window just above the rear defrost passages. there is no ext antenna anywhere on a 2nd gen unless someone slaps on a cell phone ant.

Yeah, I just learned that the other day. I never noticed there was no antenna on the back passenger side of the car. Learn something new everyday lol. That's a nice feature if it works well. I never use my radio so my antenna never comes up but that is still something I didn't know.

I asked a mobile window guy and he said they can replace the window seal, but they make you sign a waiver just in case they "accidentally" break the window in the process and then it would be about $450 for a replacement.
