I see peeps come and go here all the time. I know for a fact I will be keeping my MK8 forever or all long as I can.( me dieing, smashing, rotting away) I have an early 93 so I know my car is older then 99% of peeps on here and I still love my old girl. I bought her in 2006 with 103K and she just turned 110K today. She is my toy car and gets garaged or covered in winter. She is mostly my stress reliver car. I fill the cd player with some "Too Short" and go for a drive. Come back after beating on some WRX's,mustangs what ever and smile. Any one else?

10 years and counting for my 1994...if we ever parted ways(I will never part ways intentionally) I would move on from the Mark VIII...

I plan on having my 98 forever.....

Of course, I *planned* on keeping my first 98 forever, but someone changed my mind for me and ran a red light, t-boning it and totalling it, back in 2003. Hopefully, my current 98 will avoid such a demise.

I'd like to keep my 97 forever also, but it's my daily driver car and isn't the nicest car on the forum....

I plan on keeping my Mark VIII forever. Got her in 2005 with 59K. Fast forward to 2011, and it has 141K. It is by no means a garage queen. It is my daily driver but looks almost as good as when I got her in 05.

I bought my current 98 in March 2004 with 58k on it. Yesterday it hit 109k. Not bad for 7 years. It's definitely a garage queen now though, ever since I got the 97. lol

I don't plan on getting rid of my 94, in fact I have tons of plans for it which include either a supercharger or twin turbo's just lack the money. If the previous owner really wants it back then I will sell it to him, but that would only fund me a newer Mark.

Plan on keeping mine for awhile. Bought it in 07 w/123k, it now has 134k and just started being my dd a month ago. The only thing that will make me sick of it is if rust gets out of control. I fixed a little rust on the lower pass door but hopefully it'll hold for awhile. I'm really just starting to do stuff to it minus wheels and repairs.

If i can afford it i'll get a beater for next winter...Perhaps a g1:)

Mine is from snow area too. Only spot I had to do some body work was the seam down low under the drivers back side window. Trying to keep her from melting into the ground.

I plan on keeping my 97 forever had it since 03 and 82k she is now at 138k
and I have rebuilt is 2.5 times hopefully this time I can mod it instead of building
it back to stock.

I dont know if I will keep mine forever, I will definitely buy another one!

yeah, if i get rid of mine i'd prob buy a southern one...Unless i have a ton of money then i'd prob buy a 11-12 stang gt and keep the mark for winter duty.

I would have kept my 98 but with it being gone (totaled but not by me) I will probably not be getting another one:(. I am going to play around with my jeep srt8 (440 stroker, turbo, cam, ect, ect) and WHEN I sue those bastards who hit me, its time to get another 03-04 cobra;)

My plan is to keep mine forever. Unless replaced by a better one. I have had a Mark VIII since 2000. And have owned Marks since 1994. Happy to see so many like minded folks.

I love both my cars 94 mark with 117,000 from washington st. and my 92 mustang SSP from new mexico with (speedo says)56,000 but Im thinking 156,000

By the time I'm done with mine, there's almost no way I could sell it. For one, I'll have (already do) tons of man hours into it. Two, I'll have a lot of coin into it (again, already do.) Three, there's no way I could get as much money out of it as I have in it. And finally, I'm kinda fond of it for some reason.

If it gets totally cancelled, I'll swap the goodies into another shell. I've always wanted to do a transGENder (1st gen nose on 2nd gen,) but the only way that would happen would be mine getting totalled.

Being a hardcore Mustang fan that I am, I merely bought my car just for something different back when I had some extra money. I was then surprised by how neat these cars are, I've always been a Ford product fan, and when I actually seriously "got in to" Mark Viii's and lurked around here and did some research before signing up, I had a good idea what kind of attention the car would need, what most problem areas were, then dived into buying the car.

That being said, I was VERY surprised at how well the car ran, mine being a '93.

So I definitely became a fan of the Mark Viii. I had a weird love for my car, and when I smacked bambi in '09, there was no way I was getting rid of my Mark Viii having only enjoyed it for just ONE year.

Keeping my car, and having mecanical knowledge has saved me over 7K in repairs to the car (even though it's not done yet) and once it's repaired, I plan on finally modding it like I intended to.

I love my Mark Viii.... It's like a big, fat, fun, automatic Cobra :D

I'll be keeping mine... Hell.. a lot of my retirement money is in it. When I finally retire, I may have to live in it!

If I had your car I would keep it too!

Can't say how long I will keep mine, hell I am tempted to sell it now.

I get bored, what can I say?
Mod it and sell it for dirt I'm sure.

My 8 year old son is wanting mine so, I guess me and him will be keeping it forever. Almost has 115K on it now and it never see's a rainy day. I'm sure in 8 years, he'll have a change of heart but I won't. I'll still be driving it if the government allows it.
