Go figure, The warranty to my rebuilt tranny on the 93 expired on the 11th of March & now it won't kick past 2nd gear! :mad:OMG I'M SOOOOOOO PISSED!!!!!!!!!
I've tried so f**king hard to get my car up to par yet something always continues to happen to it! My car was parked for 5 months in 2009/2010 until in March I gathered the cash to have the cars very own transmission rebuilt. Just 2 months later the VCRM/car computer gave way. Had the car parked another 3 months, Jamie came through, then the fan won't turn on, Rich came through on that issue!!! Now, one year & ONLY 2,600 miles after I rebuilt the tranny, it's DONE! Fixed the IAC this weekend thanks to Elliot yet as soon as I took it out for a test drive it slapped me in the face! I'm going to take it in next weekend to the tranny shop & hopefully they will still honor my warranty. If that's not the case then I'm DONE! I won't be able to fix that car for 6-7 months AGAIN!

good luck they should take piety on you cause its only 2 days past
and you said that it only has 2600 miles on it

i'd light the piece of :q:q:q:q on fire and call it a day. i have never seen a mark give some one so much trouble when the only thing it does is sit, usually you have to use a car for it to break, you just look at yours and it falls apart.

Uh, its the weekend and shops are closed. Call them tomorrow and tell them it failed Friday. Even at two days over they shouldnt be dicks and not cover it...... unless they are dicks..... and its not your fault.

Alex get your ass quick to Hialeah or to Pinecrest and toss the bitch down the nearest canal in your path....lol!!!

AMEN!!! I've never owned a car that is so evil to it's owner! I rebuilt the tranny in the best known transmission places in Miami. They've been in business since 1968 here & have amazing reputation! Did my trucks transmission there at 59,000 miles & I have 116,000 on it now without a kickup. Also did the tranny on one of my T-Birds there, sold it 25,000 miles after I installed the tranny w/o an issue. It's this DAMN car!!!

If I had full coverage! lol

They open Saturday's. I tested the car & found out just 35 minutes after they closed!

id take it back, its only got 2600 on it. they should cover it. they dont need to know all the other bs, just tell them you dont drive it much

My point exactly...tranny took a dump before the engine oil...not good

Called them this morning, acted like I lost the paperwork & I told them I was there like 8-9 months ago. He remembers my car & eh himself tells me; "Oh, I definiltey don't remember this being that long ago!" Let me check my files & I will call you between 4-5pm."

So let's hope even when he see's it's been 12 months & 4 days that he still honors it.

Messed up thing is the mileage not the months...2600 miles of life on a rebuilt tranny is uncalled for...mention the mileage when you get the chance if he rejects it because you passed 12 months...it might change his mind

I know some have had good luck but anytime a pre 98 trans goes bad, you'll never see me advising to have it rebuilt. I would rather spend $300 to $500 on a used 98 trans and stick it in.

If someone offered me a freshly rebuilt 93-97 trans with zero miles for $100 or a 98 with 60K to 100K for $200, I'm going with the 98 and swapping out the internals and calling it a day. J-Mod of course since it only cost $10.00 to do.

I do hope they stand up to their warranty for you though. Seeing how you have had a few rebuilt by them, they should. Give them a reminder...

i think i would have to agree with you.

I HAVE BEEN HONORED!!!!!

Oh my god what a relief! I'm shocked! With my luck I thought I was S.O.L.!!! His words were; "It's only been 3 days since your warranty expired, I remember your car, don't worry, bring it to me, let's see what I can do for you!" I was happier than a f@g with 2 @sses when he said that! I'm taking it in tomorrow right after I get out of a doctor's appointment. Tomorrow it goes back into surgery!!!
