Back in the game. My LSE thread

The pictures make them look alot bluer than they are. If at the most I'd say they're 5k, sometimes even at 6k right when I turn them on. I'd still like a completely white LED bulb again like the GS350s.

Are you disagreeing with 18s being the sweet spot for the LS? I haven't seen enough comparison photos but IMO the 19s fit the well perfectly. And with a moderate drop like the eibachs they'll sit well with the right fitment/tire size.

I just think 18's are a better fit.

once you go to 19" and higher you start going to skinny tires and really start losing that smooth oem ride.

^ Agreed on that..plus 19" tires are a btch to pay for. I just think for the style of wheel I like on the LS 19"s would look better.

I have seen sentas in 19's or jaguar rims that are identical to sentas, it might just be a typo but it got me thinking.

These photos are taken off that website. But this is what I don't like when taking the Sentas to a 19". The designs of the spoke are now to "fat" because the length has shortened lol

Heres the 19"

Heres the 20"

How would 19x9.5" sit in the well of the LS. That has got to be aggressive as hell. Whats the stock offset +38?

Don't quote me, but I believe the stock offset is somewhere around +60. You can go down to +38 offset aftermarket, but they may rub.
I agree 19" is probably the best looking size for the LS. However, the Sentas look so good I decided to try them.

They look great and probably one of the few 20 id buy. And +60 offset is nuts man that makes whee buying even more of a challenge.

There are several recent posts about wheels, offsets, and corresponding risks/problems. I think a lot of people feel that for a 19" wheel, the offset needs to be 42mm or higher to help ensure that there is no rubbing anywhere within the wheel well. There are some owners that have 18" wheels with +38mm offset and lowered springs that have not had rubbing. However, I don't know if that was with passengers or not.

Personally, I'm going to focus on 42mm offsets or higher for either size - 18" or 19". I just don't want to risk anything happening to either the tires or the wells.

Alright I'll do some reading into it...something I'm definitely interested in doing soon.

Right now I have a clunking noise going over bumps on the front driver side of the car. At first about 3 weeks ago it wasn't very loud at all and wrote it off as a bad strut. But now the sound has moved more towards the passenger side as well. Leading me to think it might be more than just a faulty strut. Any opinions before I just schedule a warranty service instead of replacing the front struts myself?

Check my previous post. I posted my Gen 2 lights conversion process thread.

^Thank you for the link that looks great!

And as for offset thats not to bad. +40ish offset is fairly common for RWD 19" rims. Is there a thread on here for people to post pictures of their LS with aftermarket rims? Might be a good idea to start one. Instead of one generalized picture thread...

Just sold my rims for my other car at 2x as much as I paid for them. Its going in for tint on Thurs. Do I spend $400 on a tuner? Or do I spend $500 on exhaust? ORR do I spend $600 on a retro-fit?

I'd spend the money on exhaust. You can get bassani 4820's, aero ar25's, 4" tips, and a crossover x-pipe for around $375.

^^ Not a bad price and I know a really good welder who will do it for a case of beer lol.

I'd really like to keep the quad tip look. I'm looking at the magnaflow twin tips but I want perfect fitment.

I actually want the factory license plate bulbs out of the new GS350s. Perfect color

Have fun, they're soldered onto the PCB IIRC. It's not a replaceable bulb - you'd have to buy the whole light. The 5000K ones from VLEDS should be nice.

As for the tips, you should try something like this :D

^ That looks amazing I agree, but I'm not really into modifying the LSE kit. And I didn't know that about those damn lights. I ordered 3 different quality LED bulbs for the license plate to find the perfect color I want.

I was actually looking at some rectangle tips the other night to get that look when I put my lse rear valence on. I wanted to something different from the ordinary quad tips. I'll just have to see what I can come up with.

I dont know how out of place the rectangle tips would look because the LSE moulding is actually round not angular. If you shaved the round corners to square and fit rectangle tips in perfect that would look great.

Okay so I'm ordering springs in the next couple days to go with the new front struts I'll be putting in. I found some sprint springs on andysautosport.com Heres the link.

http://www.andysautosport.com/lincoln/2000_9999_ls/suspension/lowering_springs/sprint/spri00039647.html

They are listed for 00-04 LS V8 which is weird because I thought 00-02 and 03-06 springs were different? If this seems sketch I will just get the standard Eibach set-up like everyone else. Just want to go nice and low, the difference in driving habits really doesn't bother me.

I'd contact them before placing that order. I've heard everyone is sold out of the Sprint springs.

They dont have them, I emailed them a while ago. He said sorry he didn't take it down, but looks like he still hasn't taken it down.
