Big and Littles on a Mark? Antilock get addected?

Find the closest Discount Tire near you that has the tire you want. Look on Tirerack and get their price and then tell Discount to match it. I saved $180 doing that and got free lifetime balancing which is a HUGE savings over the tires life.

I am running stagered tires but was fastidious in making sure over all diameter was equal.
245/45 and 275/40.

not that i recommend it, but just curious, would running a few pounds different air front to rear prevent this?

I've got staggered size wheels and tires. All 18", but the rear wheels and tires are both wider than the fronts. I've got 245/45/18's on the front 18x9's and 285/40/18's on the rear 18x10's. Overall circumference is off by .9", height is different by .2", and I have no problem whatsoever.

Yet one more reason for Gen1 dominance.
:D
Well I would agree but you bought my Gen 1 so :(

There is about an inch or so difference so I would have to run less pressure in the fronts. I don't feel like ruining my sidewalls or how mushy it would feel if I did that :shifty:

Oh JOY!
Yeah so I went to the Pep Boys over in Edison which was quite a drive cause no one had the same size tires I had installed in the rear.

So I told the guy I needed tires to match my rear tires size. I walk out to see they put the new tires in place of my rear tires and left the bald front ones

Tell him the mistake so they go to rectify it and you can see what wound up happening

are they directional tires? if so time for them to remount them again

Yup they are!

I spent way to much time there so I had them just put all the rims backwards so I could get the hell out of there already!

fukk that, go in bitchin how you want it done right it only says what side they go on on the inside of the wheel!

Really, hmmmm?
My only thing is I don't feel like driving all the way to Edison to have them fix it? I wonder if I can go to the one by me and have it done or not?

Or maybe I'm starting a new fad on Mark VIII's :p

I agree. I would assume they would, if you show up with your receipt and explain it to them.

Yeah not only that but I had Mud and Snow tires that they took off he advised me to use on the front? I didn't want the Ventus tires on the back cause they don't seem Snow friendly and the M&S I have weren't directional so I can just turn flip sides with em at least :shifty:

he probably thought it was fwd

uh no those are my :shifty: snow :shifty: tires and they suck. so more like sh1tty wheels it sits on when the weather is bad

So I finally got off my somewhat lazy ass today and polished my headlights. Of course I was to dumb to take a before pic so take my word they were yellow and ugly!

So I used the 3M kit with the various sanding pads, a polish pad and then a foam pad you use there compound with. All in all it was fast to do but I will see how good it worked tonight

OOPS, just realized that I don't have 245's on the front. The fronts are 255/45/18. I thought the 245's didn't sound right. Anyway, 255/45/18's and 285/40/18's are almost exactly the same same. The circumference is off by .2", but the diameter is essentially the same.

If anyone cares. lol.

i worked at pep boys many years ago, back then i know you could get problems created at one store fixed at another stores expense, but i dont know about now.

This my friends Grand Marquis headlight, and mine was way worse than this. So I gotta say the 3M deal did the trick :D

Also I saw something I had to share.

My friends old man LOVES his old straight six Ford Pickup. So much that he went and looked high and low for a new water pump for it since the bearings were shot in the old one.

Now can anybody point out anything White Trash in this picture :shifty:
