Who's car is this for sale??

Fvck it I'd pay it... well, not exactly that much but a good decent offer close to that amount! With those miles? PERFECT for my taste. Not a fan of those HUGE wheels but they don't look bad either! I'd pain the chrome to match the car (professionally) & thats it. Well... I'd sell my current Mark to buy a supercharger :D

Nice car. I can see getting $10k for it in pristine condition with a flawless record and low mileage like that. Look around and try to find another car equal in price in that condition with those options.

1.Ugly ass wheels
2. He smokes in his car
3. you know he parks in handicap stall and thats the first few stalls every grocery cart goes by.
Not paying anywhere near that much

sorry i hadn't been back to check on this thread, i never received any email notifications of responses.

nice to see such a supportive crowd..... it sold within 1 hour of listing it to a 54 year old woman and her husband from oklahoma city for the asking price. they sent the money but waited to picked the car up last wensday evening because it wouldn't stop raining here. they wanted a clear shot back to okc. she has been driving a mark viii since 1994, her last one was a 98 that was totaled in the last hail storm there. the only other really nice one she said she had found was a 98 in dallas texas, it had 48 miles on it, they are asking sticker-42,000.00.

for those of you that liked it, i'm glad. i have been building custom cars for 36 years and i had these wheels made and lowered it just for a saterday night ride. in the 6 years that it has looked like this i never had anything but compliments.

for those that didn't like it, that's cool, this is why we all do different things to our cars to personalize them. just imagine how boring life would be if we were all the same. :)

If there was peace like in 60/70 hmmm I think there was still homeless hungry people / high homeles people. Dam I didn't even get to see the pic of the mark. Just take the wheels off easy fix.

here are some pictures of it, not sure what the comment above was talking about parking in the handicap parking and it being beat up from shopping carts. i am handicapped but the car has never had any damage or paint work. it was as new and everything worked perfectly. this wasn't a daily driver, wal-mart, grocery getter. it stayed covered in the corner of my shop and was only brought out when i felt like having a little fun.

the smoking comment..... it has never been smoked in and my cigar wasn't lite in that shot. i don't smoke in any of my automobiles or my house.

the wheels..... everybody has different taste so some will like and some won't, that's normal and to be expected. from reading the posts about the car being priced too high and not worth it because it was a base car and so on. obviously those guys have never had a set of wheels designed and cut. 6 years ago the wheels, tires and lug nuts were 7,000.00. it's not cheap to have stuff like that made but it's the only way to assure nobody else has the same thing you do. la rims in hollywood calf. handled the interface for me with panther rims and they agreed to make them.

it was aligned for this ride height, that's why your not seeing 2 degrees of negative camber, it wasn't lowered for the pictures. it had 39,877 miles, has been garage kept it's entire life and has never been in rain or snow. it was still clean under the car.

the price.....any kind of car this pristine costs money, at the end of the day it's worth what somebody pays for it, not what somebody says it's worth. like i said, it sold within 1 hour of listing so apparently i didn't ask enough. :)

enjoy,

they are the leader in high end trends when it comes to big dollar rides. dubs are also what 20's are commonly known as. it's like hotrod magazine to the mustang and camero crowd.

Not my cup of tea.....but glad you sold it.

The color combo is not to my taste plus I am a chater member of hate the 2nd gen base club...wheels are nice but not to the tune of 7k.
Some 54 year old woman likes it....hope she enjoys it.

Glad he got his price but whoever bought it got screwed ... PT Barnum would have loved the buyer. Any Mark VIII over $5000 better have a lot of special extras or be the Super Mark.

Wheels are Fuggly to me ..

Car was in nice shape ...
