more than what a v8? ya right. You can find decent driver quality SC's all day for under $2500.

you DO understand you are basically saying that an SVT cobra is cheaper than a GT right?

original MSRP for the SC
$22,910

original MSRP for the NPI SOHC 4.6L V8 modular
$17,400

soooo, ya right....

the SC engine was more than just a cheapo 3.8L V6 that was a shadow of it's V8 counterpart... it had the means to be woken up pretty substantially with just a pulley swap and some minor mods... and as a result people ate them up, they were also the most expensive trim Thunderbird that ran off the assembly line... always looked at as the SVT/SVO of the thunderbird lineup

so in your own words, he's looking for a daily driver, not a race car... which in the long run, the 4.6L would be better at both, cheaper initially and more potential to reach times that "I" consider worth it... which I already recapped on in my original statement regarding the fact

and good luck finding a decent Omni GLH in working order for a decent price... those things are getting bought up left and right for drag... they are basically an SRT4 from the 80's lol

another car that was like the GLH was the Spirit R/T... those things are little sleepers in themselves

in fact, if you can find a decent one... I would recommend that little gem over anything posted in this thread... just a tune and some minor details and you have a very daily drivable 4 door sedan pulling LS1 times and getting upwards of 30MPG

The SHO has outstanding gas mileage, good handling, is very fun to drive, but is a Bit... to work on. plus, finding one that isnt beat the hell up may be a challenge.

You can do the cobra swap to a SHO, and also you can get 24/26mm sway bars for them out of any first Gen SHO. My 95 had the big sway bars, and would pick up a wheel if you drove on uneven surfaces. I loved that car, and man was it a sleeper. And hey, I hear there is a Convertible M8 for sale on here now :D

I'm looking for a 98-02 continental for a daily driver I used to have a 98 and I loved it. It was pretty quick and real comfortable. You can get them for around the same price as a gen2 Mark.

Wow! Standard bench seat! ........ as opposed to what? A milk crate?

Jamie, that turbododge forum does have a really nice lookin black GLH for $1600. It has some minor issue like a vac leak but there are many Sprints and Daytona turbos there for really cheap!

Actually had me thinking of an old Daytona Turbo for a DD.

Alright lincolnboy, ill go $1000.

Wow. Ok, throw a couple more contenders in the $5000 arena.

2000ish Audi A6 2.7T Quattro. I know the cars well, parts are on par with the Marks and mileage is over 20 mpg. My 2002 S4 averaged 25mpg. :)

Or a 2000ish Volvo C70 :)

I bet you a dollar either the phone number doesn't work, or goes to a non American (politically correct :) ) guys voicemail.

Its legit but man it needs some work. New door and fender plus paint cause no way I am driving a flamer car. So its still at $10000 which is really good for an 04 GTO I guess. It will be gone by the time I have my money though.

It is a good deal either way. Drive it until you can fix it. Hopefully the flames aren't painted on, but even if they are door and fender gets rid of half the problem.
