What daily driver would you get?

Sorry Bill,

Just had my fill with the Turbo Coup, can't really see putting anymore time nore money into the thing, if I caouldn't get rid of it at what I have in it, there is really no other reason to keep trying.

Plus the turbo that it in it was originally slated to go in my pre-runner/crawler, so the way I see it is pull the motor clean it, paint it, and stuff it between the fram rails along with the torque converter, and the pre-runner/crawler moving especially since I have a fuel cell for it now.

As for the rest of the of the Turbo Coup, pull the four eye front end off throw it up stairs along with the seats, yank the PCM and harness, my LX's 10 hole wheels and tires, cut the intercooler duct work out of the hood, pull the disc brake set-up off the back, stuff this horrid set of wheel I have on it and drag it across the scrales for scrap.

John is heading back here saturday to make all tis happen, and I'll probably go pick the Turbo Coupe up tonight and park it behind the 99' Grass Snake.

I really just don't feel comfortable selling it to you like it is, and I just really don't want to sink any more time and money into it, and I know you need dependable transport, and I would feel bad if something took a dive on you while you were driving it.

It's a cool car, and runs super strong, and I thought about turning it into a race car, but that mind set is twisted more towards building a HSR vintage coupe, although an 04' Cobra was just brought to my attention lastnight, and the guy (Mark w/750hp Lightning) is wanting it gone, like NOW, and is willing to do a trade, soo we'll see what transpires, maybe nothing, maybe who knows.

Not that I need another vehicle, although jrherold420 do have a car I have been bouncing on the fence about.

Either way.............................

Sell it and buy a Lincoln LS :p

Dr. SVO phd

Life begins where the pavement ends, pin it and hang the phuck AWN!

My VIII was my daily driver in the summer even with the mods. I bought a winter beater Escort for the crappy weather and winter.

Would sooner get an Elantra.

Another Mark Bill. Make "the real one" nice and then maybe play around with the other one once the 98 is finished. Hard headed!! Like someone mentioned, if a problem was to pop up, at least you would most likely know what the issue is.

to finish my last post i wouldnt mind a pontiac g8 gtp/gtp forgetthey offered a gxp, all i kmow is that they got around 360hp...in dark charcoal..

it's G8 GT... and they are little soldiers, although the L76 doesn't like to respond to mods as well as the LS2 does... still all in all a great car and I applaud the 6L80-E transmission

the G8 GXP you can forget... they have the LS3 and you will have a hard time finding one on the road let alone owning one... the entire production lineup of G8 GXP's are around 1,800 cars throughout the entire US

What about a thunderbird SC?

might as well get the 4.6L and use it as a DD'er... the SC is a turd, i raced a ported eaton one with full bolt on's running 17PSI with 3.73's and beat him in my basic bolt on 2V GT... from a roll too, and everyone knows the 2V GT's suck up high

IMO if you want to make a bird fast start with the 4.6L and go with the aftermarket... and in this case the OP doesn't want fast so if he goes with a bird I'd say go for the cheaper 4.6L

he doesnt need another race car. he needs a daily driver.

So things for me seem the same still.
$10,000
GTO maybe 05 GT

$5,000
Lincoln Continental

$2,000
Mark VIII

My vote is for the GTO, hands done....especially a 6-speed.

My Mark VIII is my DD, I've got a Corvette for my nice weather car.

When the Mark VIII is ready to be retired, the top car on my list to be my new DD.........a GTO.

Why do I like the GTO? 350 or 400 hp, 6-speed, awesome interior, 6-speed, there are not a million of them like stangs, 6-speed, can be modded with exhaust and headers easily, 6-speed, only car people will know what it is (like the Mark VIII), & 6-speed.

And even better for you, a GTO is faster than you car right now, and even after the supercharger you better get that car tuned right or a 400-hp GTO is going to be faster!!

Also if you find any $10k 400-hp 6-speed GTO's let me know :)

Mark is already blown, makes 384 rwhp.

How about a truck or SUV? A Navigator would go good with the Mark and should make you more visible.
