How do you remove the side moldings?

Have a friend that wants them but I dont want to chip or break them when I remove them. Any special tricks to poping them off?

Get some twine and feed it behind the molding, and pull towards the other end.

i use a long blade, its a standard double sided razor blade in a very long handle, i use it to cut out windows also, the mouldings are held on with double stick body tape, take the long blade razor and slip it in between the door and moulding and slowly start cutting through the top first, once you cut through the entire run of moulding top, the long blade will slip behind the moulding deeper to get to the botton run of tape, just work you way from one end to the other and becareful not to pull the mouldings outward, just slice through the tape the mouldings will fall right off once the tape is all cut, if you pull on them mouldings they will snap in half with no problem, then they are junk! this is a long blade

I use a bondo spreader to get it started and pull it off. very simple. Use and eraser disc to remove the excess adhesive left on the body.

+1, I used one to remove all the pin striping off the black car in 45 minutes. Also used it to remove the glue from the back side of some LSC moldings and the glue left on the car.

I would not pull them off though. Bent, buckled, cracked moldings aren't worth anything and it don't take much of a pull to pop one. Ask the Kid.

there are guide pins on the molding to if you use a blade, which I would not recommend, sorry jamie, be careful not to slice them off.

Got it, pour lighter fluid on em and heat them up. Then use a hack saw to start the tape to seperate and yanki on them in one swift, firm pull.
