Smart dumb ass.I would even go in early, just to check the rack and contrary to some peoples beliefs, you might want to save as much of the old fluid to go back in the system. All fresh Mercon V fluid might tend to mess something up, such as the rack!
I'm only j/k Dan, you are the certified mechanic and I'm sure you know what you're doing or you wouldn't be certified and working in the field that you're working in.

A 10mm ratcheting wrench will help you a lot as well as a stubby 18mm for the line. Four bolts and it drops right out then one hose clamp and one 18mm line nut. Not a big deal.is there a write up on how to change a power steering pump on a gen 2? I cant seem to find one. also is this something anyone can do? or should i look for a mechanic to do it?
Slight points Dan. Its 4 10mm bolts. The line nut is 18mm and you need a 1/2" drive to loosen the driveline blet. Its easy sauce. 3 or 4 10mm bolts hold the pump to the block. Use a 3/8" ratchet to release the belt tensioner. You then need to disconnect the fluid hoses from the pump, its really pretty simple. EDIT: didn't see there was a second page with people replying to the same question...
