It seems like everytime I browse the threads, more and more Mark owners are selling their Marks or parting them out. What's going on? Are we seeing a trend? Are our numbers dwindling? Has anyone else notice this?

I Can Say..probably Everyone Getting Sick N Tired Of All The Issues With Let Say Suspention That If You Havent Upgraded To Springs,
Also The Sensors...n Crap...

Well I think we are still here... :D
My 96 is in the warm garage for the winter and I'm slowly still repairing the 94. I have no desire to sell, just improve

Well, I for one love mine, for crying out loud, I own two Marks. A lot of folks are selling their Marks after dumping a ton of money into it.

I love mine too,:D But they are older and I think it is normal to money into them after a while.
I haven't bought a new car in many years. Loose to much at first

HONESTLY ..I LOVE MY CAR TO DEATH TOO..I CHANGED MY MIND ON SELLING..HONESTLY THERES NOTHING OUT THERE I WANT...AND WHAT EVER IT IS THAT I WANT...LOL I CANT AFFORD A $175K CAR! I GUESS I'LL WAIT TILL I HIT THE NYS LOTTO ...LOL

BUT THEN IF I DO..I STILL WONT BE HAPPY! LOL..WHO IS ANYWAYS!

I bought mine less than a year ago. Of course the numbers of Mark VIII owners are dwindling, thats unavoidable. Some cars get wrecked. Others get worn out to the point where they get parted, but those parts keep other cars alive. Some get sold, but that just makes a new owner.

true on that!;)

I visit here alot still, but don't drive my Mark as much as I used to. My GF just got an 06 Trailblazer and I drive that whenever I can. It's pretty nice and is a nice change from the Mark. Don't get me wrong, the Mark is lots better, I just like the fact that the TB is smooth and big and a little more convenient, especially when hauling the little one.

lol lil ones dont belong in a mark...it calls for a disaster on the interior...like car seats n stuff...lol hehehe do the have car seats where u can belt in your teenager? j/p

When I first bought my Mark I pulled the back seat a few months later and there were all sorts of barrets (or however you spell it) and all sorts of Now and Laters and other candy all melted to the sound deadening material under the seat. Damn kids.

Hey I will be still here for a long time until all my Lincolns are beaten till they reach 250K miles atleast

I for one am hanging on to my Marks. I remember when my dad had his pride and joy, a Blue 72 Olds Cutlass. He loved that car. In 78 he let it go when the transmission went out. Every now and then he sees a restored Cutlass, and thinks what could've been. I am not going to make the same mistake with mine.

I think that some younger people are buying them now, more than before.

Then again, some of us are buying our second and third Mark VIII's and keeping the number of Mark VIII owners down.:)

I'm in love with my Mark and all I've done is work on it. Just sitting in the car all I can think is, this is luxury. I can't believe how much car you can buy for how little money.

Of all the cars in the early 90's I have yet to find a car I liked better. The Mustang went to the ugliest it's ever been. Every other car that was rear wheel drive was turned wrong way around, Cadillacs..... and every car got the cookie cutter treatment.

I wish I could say I would keep my Mark for a long time , But life has too many turns.
I sold my 1969 Corvette 427 4 speed for 5000.00 back in 1981:eek:  Ouch.

I can understand where your comming from man. :) that's one helluva VIII.

I have considered selling both cars, and buying a pre owned "new" vehicle, but can't pull myself away from a VIII.
