I am looking for some wider wheels , tire rack is only showing 8" wide does any one know what company makes wider wheel for my mark

The Custom Wheel Shop (bagtaco on here) makes them in 9" wide. You could go to a Mustang 10" wide wheel but you will have to hub swap and getting the correct back spacing is paramount. Maybe a couple guys on here with them can chime in.
I have Saleens on mine that are 9" wide and I had to trim the bumper mount and roll the fender to clear. I still rub on big bumps but not bad. The inside of my wheels is about 1/4" from hitting the sway bar so I couldnt have any more back spacing as well.

I've got 18" by 10" wide FR500's in the back with 285 tires. I had to roll the fender lips and had to trim the top bumper mount just like LaserSVT did, but now it's good and looks great. Sometimes on really big dips when I'm driving fast and turning at the same time, I can hear it rub a little, but not bad.
Here's a couple pics with the Ray switch activated and one at normal height.

The tires are just about perfectly flush at normal height, and then when I drop the car, they sink inward due to the geometry of the suspension.

Oh, and they are 05+ mustang offset at 40mm.

thanks for the information I might have to stick to 9" if I don't want to roll the wheel wells.

I have a 295/35r18 for the rear on a 18x10 coddington smothie II. I am hub swapped and run the 99-04 mustang offset. I didn't trim or roll anything, I do rub sometimes on big dips at high speeds. When i had 275 tires on 18x9's with the 99-04 offset i never had any problems. The downfall of the 99-04 offset is that they won't tuck as nice as the 05 and up offset.

mike you saw my car at the meet i have the same saleen's as laser above 18x9 with 275-35 on the rear, i had 285-35 and those didnt rub ever, neither do my tires now obviously, but i didnt roll or trim anything on my car but i also dont have adjustable air ride, my lowered coil conversion is low though i still dont rub.

Few things to consider here though.
As you pointed out you are on coils. Coils are a much higher rate then air springs so there is more travel per bump with air.
The other is you have 275/35 and I am 275/40 so my tires are an inch taller which puts them deeper into my well.
The last is the Yokohama in this size runs wider then the General in the same size and the General is wider then the Nitto 555 in this size. So the Yoks run wide....... but not linear.... my fronts are the same rated size as the Generals they replaced but my front Generals were wider then the new Yoks....

In short, tire size AND brand will play a big part in what rubs and what does not.

well the old michelin pilots i had on the rear were 285-35 and now i run michelin pilot sport ps II's on the rear in 275-40-18 and i swear they are as wide as what was on the car, only they are some bad ass tires compared to the plain jane michelins i had. and yes i was wrong above my rear tires are now 275-40.

Yup. PSII's kicked freakin arse! Prolly the best tire you can get really. I had that size on the front of my last Cobra, almost as wide as the TA KDWs in that size and those run a tad wide.

The 18X9/10 bullit wheel set I put on a MarkVIII with Air susp. sensor lowered had no rub at all with Cooper A/S 245-45-18/275-40-18 rubber. He lowered the car to the point where he didnt have to trim or roll and I thought it looked perfect. Deff not as low as Bill's car in his sig pic though.

It depends on how you want the car to sit and if its on air or a coil conversion. Too many variables to go through really because there are so many ways to skin that cat its silly. So decide if you want to trim and roll, the answer to that would open things up alot.
