What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Cut some rear t-bird springs, no more broken drivers side but didn't get the height I had hoped for.

Every year or so I have to tighten a screw at the rear cross bracket for the moonroof. It causes an annoying rattling and doesn't allow it to close properly. I ended up replacing the worn out/half stripped screw and dabbed a bit of super glue on top so that it won't wiggle out as easily. Not the easiest of screws to replace.
While playing in there I inspected a broken piece that came out of the assembly 6 or so years ago, found out where it went and installed it with a new screw. It was a little peice @ the rear of the glass rail only visible when tilted upwards. Not sure how I didn't see that before. It now closes properly and evenly. I'm pretty sure all these issues were caused by the stereo.

Last weekend I polished my headlights and installed new rear shocks. :)

new tires.

What's up with them headlights on the 96 chris?? po-lish them things!

New rear air springs are in. Had to change the o-rings on the solenoid and now no leaks! 216,750 miles. Ready for some summer driving. Soon as I get a chance I'm going to sensor lower it, rotate the tires and change rear brakes and an oil change.

Finally find time to take it for a ride. After sitting for 5 weeks, the damn battery was dead. Jumped it and was on my way. I still get a thrill out of it so for now it does not get its walking papers.

How did you apply the white carbon fiber looking material? im wanting to redo my ashtray and cup holder doors on my 96 in black carbon fiber.

Finally got mine started yesterday and pulled it out of the garage. Still has lots of work to be completed before she is road worthy. I had to put her aside for a short time to prep my Tbird for the upcoming race season.

Sand blasted, washed and powder coated my oil pan.

I might need to do a second coat. You can still see thepitting from the rust but it's now better than factory.

Too bad you didn't have a better pan to start with, but looks good and likely will not be a corrosion problem anymore.

I went back and forth on weather to get a better pan. Figure I have to at least try it. I doubt I will ever do another oil pan (at least a mark VIII one) because too many nooks and crannies. So I had allot oil burn when curing.
