I don't think we are the only life in the universe.

I also don't think lights in the sky are invading aliens.

If I was an invading alien, I think I'd be smart enough to turn my headlights off before sneaking up on a planet.:D

I've got a weird UFO story.. I've seen one and had another weird happening at the same time..

My mom used to have a Cadillac, don't know what kind or what year, but it broke down on the way to a friends, she pulled onto the side of the road and we walked for help as there were no cell phones back then. As we walked I looked back to the car kinda sad, as I was a kid and knew it was far to the next house. I saw smoke coming from under the car and yelled at mom to look, she stopped and turned and was watching and the car burst into flames. The cats caught the grass on fire, and then the grass got revenge.. As we headed back to the car it exploded. It was already dark so the stars were out and bright because it was a very clear night..
We knew there was nothing that could be done, but we had to warn the house we were heading to because there were cows in the field by the car. I looked up and saw something red and larger than the stars. I pointed it out to my mom, we stood there and watched it, and it seemed as thou it was moving from star to star, very fast. Not clustered stars either, we had to turn our heads to follow it as it zipped across the sky.
We proceeded to the house and call the fire dept and walked back towards the car... The thing was still zipping around in the night sky from one star to the next, then across the sky and gone.
The fire dept drove by us as we were almost back to the car..it was totally engulfed in flames, from the trunk, inside, engine bay, tires were melted..everything destroyed.
The next morning the Ranch owner that my mom was dating and I saddled up our horses and rode to talk to the neighbor who's field we burned... As we neared the car it was shining..like new...because...it was like new...no smoke damage, tires looked new, inside was clean..like it just got detailed...we fetched some gas, put it in the tank, and i drove it to the house....

What the hell. It blew up, melted down and the next day was all new and even washed??? Did the zippy ship fix it or what happened? Really, thats a weird one.
 
If it's a fake, it's a pretty good one. The video that attempted to "debunk" it said it used a still picture as the background, but there are clearly cars driving in the "4th" video. The debunking video also mentioned a splice in the audio - this definitely exists, it is audible and I fired up goldwave to look at it visually - however, that sound track was from a compilation video, where 3 videos are merged into one, so a splice is not out of place.

Additionally, I went ahead and looked at it frame by frame, and didn't see anything out of place. Light reflecting off of the surrounding buildings and landscape looks appropriate (look at the temple dome as the light source ascends, it's easiest to spot there.) The bright flashes appear to appropriately illuminate the surroundings as well.

It takes about 1/5th of a second for the light source to go from it's stationary position to completely out of frame. The Dome of the Rock is about 20m in diameter, so to me the object looks to be slightly closer to the camera than the dome, thus making it "hover" about 100m above the ground. Which would make the top of the frame at least another 100m. And it would seem to accelerate at least 100m in 1/5th of a second, significantly better than Laser's Mark, and would be at least 25g's acceleration.

Anyway, I can't find anything to suggest a hoax.

Which all sucks, because I love debunking hoaxes (not that I'm an expert on it or anything.) Can't find much to do here, though.

This. If aliens can find the needle in a haystack that is Earth, then travel millions of light-years to get here and look at us... odds are that they're not going to just screw around and make pretty glowing balls float around every now and again.

I agree, but consider this:

1. There are life forms native to this planet that can see in the InfraRed spectrum. What if these Aliens can't see the lights without the aid of electronic hardware, just like we can't see infrared without a camera? What if they can't see just that light spectrum their "lights" emit?

2. What if these lights are essential to their ship's movement? Sort of say, like our equivalent of rocket boosters, and there is no way to conceal them?

3. What if these aliens are trying to soften us up to the idea of extraterrestrial intelligent life? Maybe they have some sort of rules akin to say, Star Trek's Prime Directive (I think that's what they call it) that says you can't just land in frond of the White House and say "Hi, we're here!".

Now, some people say there is evidence of them having been here for thousands of years (we're going to take creationism out of the equation for this one). As such, they should know we can see their lights.

Maybe, it's us from the future. Maybe in the future, the human reproductive system is obsolete. Maybe they have some sort of technology that can record feelings and emotions. Maybe they
re just coming here to record us and our feelings/emotions then go back and sell them in their timeline. Can we say Pizza and a blowjob?

Now, I agree, if I were scoping out a new planet, I'd be as sneaky about it as possible, not fly around flashing everyone.
 
I agree with Brandon and Hawkins. If they come here its to kill us or to make us slaves. .. ... .... or make us sex slaves.

I would immagine by now, after centuries of watching us, that they know our military weapons to some extent, as well as our reaction time. Also, if they've seen our planet they know we have satellites and even probably have the ability to "listen in" granted language barriers and such, put pictures tell alot.
Now also, does anyone know anything about the Jewish temple and what it's purpose is. Why would they be interested in checking out that particular structure..hmmm
I think out of all the evidence ever presented about ufos, the most interesting are found in the pyramids, they didn't have computers to lap images and make hoaxes. the way the great pyramids are arranged is also very interesting, why so much effort was put into there positions will always be a mystery.
Above all that, I think it's fasinating that 1 man convinced a bunch of other men to stack humongous blocks on top of one another, and then a few to lock themselves inside with his dead body, with all the treasures...people are both brilliant, and completely stupid.
So, who wants to build me a Pyramid?

I have no idea man, it still baffles me. All I know is I watched that thing burn, explode, and continue burning...then we went to the house to call the fire dept, it was about 2 miles from the house to the car, when we got back to it (as the fire truck was getting there) it was STILL burning. I don't recall the time span of the fire, but knowing my adult land speed now, I would immagine that distance took us at least 40 minutes to walk. The next day the only thing burned was the grass and the car was like new.
 
I would say there must be other intelligent life in the universe and our galaxy. And probably way more advanced than us. I would consider it pathetic that our world contains the epitome of intellegence. There are just too many galaxies and stars to think we are the only thinkers. BUT....there has been no cridible evidence of visitors to our planet. The distances are just too for.

Yes, the distances are great. But we (as humans) haven't even yet begun to scratch the knowledge of exotic physics, like quantum mechanics and string theory for a practical faster than light propulsion method.

For all we know aliens are using a mode of propulsion that would blow our scientist's minds. In the early 1800's people rode wagons and took them months to cross the country. Now, a good truck driver can do it in 3 straight days. A commercial jet in mere hours. What would that 1800's era person have to say about our current level of propulsion?

He'll, maybe they perfected cryogenic or stasis support and can sleep for 100,000 years while en-route to earth... Though, I'm leaning toasted faster than light propulsion as a more feasible method of transportation.
 
Not to go on rant here but.......nope,It's not a jewish temple, the dome of the rock is a muslim temple that was built over the spot where the Jewish temple used to be, Solomon's temple. Solomon's temple was said to house the ark of the covenant, ( which most everything I've seen on the Ark points to some freaky technology, it helped bring down the walls of Jericho, if anyone touched it they died, the people that carried it their hair would turn white as snow, and don't forget what it did to the nazi's in Indiana Jones, LOL ). The thing is, this very spot is mentioned in the bible as when Solomon's temple is rebuilt there it would usher the return of Jesus. So that's why Israel guards that spot to the death, eventhough it's not their temple they know it would start "the end of days" ,they know there's alot of crazy people out there that think if they blow up the muslim temple and rebuild Solomon's temple, Jesus will come back.
SO maybe the UFO showed up there as a warning for us that the poop is not only hit the fan but it's being slung out like Ron Jeremy's private parts. That UFO showed up in the middle of the uprise in Egypt and other middle east conflicts, is this the sign Nostradamus spoke about? I suggest we stock up on canned goods before 2012. AND yes the baghdad battery is for real, Egyptians used clay pots with copper and acidic juice like berries inside for electricity, thats why they have never found any soot from torches inside the pyramids.
As a catholic I ask myself why is religion so afraid of ET's? Is it not possible for God not to be this white and bearded man but a nucleus of power from out there somewhere? same beliefs, just a different velvet picture?
