Weird thing happened today on the 98 LSC

I left Work today and gunned it leaving the driveway (kinda have a big dip) to not stop traffic and when I got to the light the RPM got from 700 to 200 and back up and back down over and over again...Then, I turned to car off and cranked it and it was alright...fuel pump???...that dip moved the fuel from the pump???...or is it missfiring???...p.s. no engine light came on

Sounds like the IAC needs cleaned....or replaced.


My 98' did the same exact thing.

WHOA!! mine was doing something weird like that out of the blue too. But mine was doing it while I was driving. No A/C on, it started going up and down on the RPM's. It's never done that before.

I chalked it up to maybe being a little air in the fuel line since I just replaced the fuel filter today.

Sounds like the IAC needs cleaned....or replaced.
