The beef between you and me isnt the issue and as far as im concerned is over and done with.
There was a "beef" between you and I? I missed the memo.
I personally dont give two sh!ts what you have to say to me anymore.
We'll see about that.
I'm just saying is that a guy comes on here and asks a legit question and you give smart ass comments. Thats not necessary.
So... smart assed comments are not allowed? Well hell... Who died and made you Captain Censorship? I missed that memo as well. I seem to be missing lots of memos of late...
Perhaps he just had a thought regarding a common problem. Its a level of maturity to respond in a certain way.
It may have been a "thought", but it seems, not a well placed one. There is a reason there is a gasket on the coil covers. And it's not so people have to drill holes into the covers. If FORD could have "gotten away" with not using the gaskets, I'm sure they would have saved the extra few pennies and not used them.
He actually brought up the same point as i did before.
That makes two of you then.
Others gave intelligent answers to his concern on why it is the way it is and wouldnt work.
This is true. And he completely ignored those (that) reply, and kept on going with his original line of thinking.
You felt like you had to ridicule him for asking the question in the first place. Why? Why cant a guy ask a question and get a respectful intelligent answer.
I felt like ridiculing him because it was an idiotic question. Yes, there are such things in the real world, no matter what Mrs. Woodsworth told you in the first grade.
His question wasnt stupid or deserving a dumb comment.
Just because you asked the same question, it don't make it a smart question.
You didnt respond in a way to explain why his idea wouldnt work out or even state an opinion for that matter, you made fun of him for asking it from the get go.
Yeah. It's called "Calling it like you see it". Some people do this.
Opinions are one thing, but making fun of why he would ask such a question is another. You didnt initially respond that his theory has holes in it, you stated why he would ask such a dumb question.
I believe the records stands as me stating to him "I hope you're kidding.". But my memory is not what it used to be. I suppose I could click on the fist page of the thread and see my first post in here. Where you get the idea that I stated "why he would ask such a dumb question", well, that one's beyond me. Lack of reading comprehension skills maybe? I don't know.
You word for word stated how "dumb his idea was." It wasnt.
This, after him not realizing himself how stupid of a question it was and him getting his big girl panties in a twist? Never mind that he didn't read the only good reply to his question until after it was pointed out to him?
And yes. It was.
And you didnt provide negative feedback as you said, you were flat out being an ass.
Negative feedback? You lost me. Stay with me now. Concentrate.
You were the first to respond and asked as to why he would ask such a question.
Maybe
your memory is crappier than mine, for I am pretty sure I didn't ask him anything, let alone ask him why he'd ask such a question. Go back and re-read my fist post. Then, tell me where I asked him amything (little hint: the period "." indicates a statement, not a question, which would normally end with a question mark. They look like this: "?".
Then when someone gave a good answer you responded to them to "shut up".
And obviously, you're too damned dense to see sarcasm on the internet. This is like the stupid question thing Mrs. Woodsworth told you about. There are these things here called "smileys". This one indicates a tongue sticking out "

" "

". They are here for the sole purpose of indicating jest (that's a thing said or done for amusement). Denser people don't get humor for some reason or other. It's OK though.
Let a guy ask a question and let someone answer it to get him to understand the situation.
Ok. We'll let Private DingDong ask a dumb question, then we'll spend countless hours explaining to him why it's a bad idea. Ummm. No. Reminds me of another guy here who asks questions like they're going out of style. But, that's for another thread.
I dont see how thats such a hard concept to comprehend.
I don't see what the harder concept for
you to comprehend is... The concept of humor, or the concept of "you ask a stupid question, you get a stupid answer".
Oh, and did your Promotion to Captain Censorship also involve a side duty of arguing on behalf of people?
