Todays junkyard find

Well I went to the junkyard today and only saw one 97 MArrk VIII, and nothing else worth mentioning. I was looking for a snap clip for one of my airbag solenoids, adn a end cap to the solenoid, and a air intake box and tube. I want to make my own air intake and wanted one for a guinea pig.

When I looked under the car for the solenoids I found this.......




I paid $80.00 for all of it. What a deal in my opinion. If my air ride ever goes out and refuse to buy replacement oem, I could always use it.

I would think that they are the basic swap kit from Strutmasters, that is the brand name on the coils.

The front coil overs say Strutmaster SMSP 3, the strut number 739730. I will have to look it up and see if it is the basic kit.

no they were clean when I found them. Almost like new except for a few scrapes on the rear springs

Though I do not know that person nor where he lives, it was a 97 dark green with tan interior.

It has to be the 1.5" lowered kit, it is nowhere near stock height. And that is even better for $80.00.

Saw the pics of the kit installed in the other thread. The way they sit looks like mine, which is stock. Even mine seems a little lower than how high it was with air ride. It appears to sit at curb height.

Yeah, from the pics its def not the lowered kit..Nice score reguardless.

Either way, I like its stance as it is the same as sensored lowered as I had it before I put it on, and I was happy with the stance when I did the sensor lower. I was just shocked that after putting it on, that it was not at stock height, and IIRC, the measurements before the senso lowering was like 28 3/4's.
