I never really wrapped my brain around how long our exhaust is...

The finished product looked pretty sick. The tips don't even interfere with the bumper cover, the fit really couldnt have been better...

I did a tire rotation and front brake job on the car while I was there before this. Everything went smooth as silk, however we heard an exhaust leak and assumed it was coming from the passenger side flange at the manifold. Jamie and I spent probably an hour dicking with it before I decided that I thought the leak was coming from the cat itself... sure enough the cat is cracked. Kinda bummed about that, however we just cut the cat off my old exhaust and I am just going to have an exhaust shop install the new cat... so anywho, there you have it.

Nice ok now I'm a little confused wen I got my xpipe put on I looked at the whole deal my driver side cat is welded to the manifold y do shops or people have that done

caught me working on philly's halogen to hid conversion housings! supposed to be a secret dan! did you get that cat welded on today? or did you sit on the couch all day. you kept me up so long i was draggin ass at work today lmfao!!

ford does that, look at the pic again both setups have a pass side cat on them. just looks like one has 2 cats and one doesn't.

Ok I caught it but y the hell did they do that

Cat.

Hi Dan, If interested I still have the stock cats of of my 93 with only 61xxx miles. If interested Barry could install it /them at his shop, they do exhaust. PS if anyone is interested I have a 2 1/4" dual exhaust with Magnaflow oval mufflers in the back. Barry would install it after your cats (2) (-3) with a X-pipe for 350.00 Hope to see your Mark someday Dan. Looks a lot like mine. I really like the tips

Well! no one would have known who's housing it was if you hadnt told, i thought you were just rechroming a housing by the pic.

LOL

Congratulations my buddy did that to his 93 a few
Years ago and loved it he said there was a nice power increase too

It'll sound alot different, should dump that 3rd cat for an X

Sounds kinda poopy atm cuz of the leak. Havent found a decent shop yet to fix the leak... On a different note, does anyone know what diameter pipe I need fot the xpipe in place of the third cat and the size for mufflers out back on stock pipe... Thanks for any info!

I remember seeing a 2nd Gen exhaust on EBAY and was gonna do it to my 1st Gen. Laziness kept that from happening but now I have a 2nd Gen and it seems much quieter than my 1st?

Power wise who knows cause there different cars and I had 4:10's in my 96' so

I can't wait. I was gonna PM you. I was gonna see if they were done soon, so my In-Laws could pick them up. They were on their way here in two weeks for the birth of my son. However, the boy decided to come early. Wife had him yesterday and the In-Laws showed up today in Illinios all the way from Pinellas Park Florida!!!

dont push it junior, i want them to look factory, so i am taking my time! congrats on the baby. and dan the muffler inlet you need is 2 1/4, the x pipe i think is the same or 2 1/2 but i am almost sure its 2 1/4

Thanks, take all the time you need. The mark won't see the road til march

it will be way before then lol i am gonna chrome them this weekend those lenses need alot of slow tedious polishing even inside i already started, dan saw how crappy its gonna be doing it lol!

I know some of you will laugh as I did when I first read the add for my 93Mark VIII. It said Cherry Bombs exhaust. I thought oh well that will be the first thing I replace. Turns out it was a stock exhaust with Cherry Bombs replacing the rear mufflers. It wasn't that loud and it sounded good. I couldn't believe it. I replaced it because it now has true 2 1/2" duals With a Magnaflow dual in/out X-pipe resonator and no rear mufflers. I would have put them on the rear but there smaller than 2 1/2" dia. but larger than the stock pipes. So Dan if you or someone else is interested in them let me know.
