towed the LS to the shop tonight and all this is going tomorrow....only half of what i need but it's a start :)

although i'm sure i'm going to have to have some work done to the trans to beef it up before it's all said and done. i'm leaning towards putting a stall in it while the engine is out too but i haven't decided for sure yet.
 
Is this like a guess how many gum balls are in the jar thread? If so there's 13 $100's 27 $20's 3 $50's and 1 $10 which makes $2400. Am I right?

Who is doing the motor work? Do you have any specifics yet?
 
a couple of quick comments.

First, this is very tacky. Why didn't you take the picture with you holding the money and a gun with your hat turned to the side and your pants around your ankles like a proper douche bag?

Second, I like how you try to hide the smaller denominations by putting the $100s on top.

Third, where do you live exactly? Just curious :shifty:
 
BENJI!!!!!! I see you have an older 100 in there with the rest of them. I dont spend those. They look cool. I have a little collection going. I have some 5's, 20's a 50 and 2-100's that are like 15+ years old. One of the hundreds isfrom 1981, thats 29 years old. I couldn't spend them, they look cool. Oh and I have a lot of 2 dollar bills. If my see my a family member or friend going to pay with one of those older bills I trade them a new one for their old one. Always been into collecting things.
 
lol. 2400 x 2 = 4800. You are not going to get a built/stroked engine, LSD AND a 200 wet shot setup for 5K.

No gears? Why the big build if you aren't going to regear it too?

Tuning device: 400ish
N20 setup: 600ish
Time on the dyno: $$$$
Rear end work: north of 1500 probably, if you are having a shop do it. Of course, this is for gearing too. If not, expect this to be in the 500 range.
No freaking clue where you are going to source parts from. No one makes them. Which means one-off stuff. Which means $$$$$.

Gonna do cams too? I would imagine so.

I guess I just really want to know where you can bring this car where they will do all this work for 5k.

"half of what i need" was a figure of speech that was obviously taken out of context.
However, consider the following and you will see it won't be too far off.
Locked Xcal2 $60 on ebay. (and the gentleman that will be tuning it has the software to unlock it)
Dyno and tuning time GREATLY discounted due to circumstances the first time around.
Zex wet kit Summit Racing $520
Fresh rebuilt 8.8 LSD craigslist $70
IF i decide to do the entire 8.8 housing i already have...
4.30 FRRP ebay $90
M8 IRS housing $20
Poly bushings $30? Oreilly

Spare set of 3.9 heads (for future use) craigslist $50 for the set

As far as the engine parts....if anyone has been paying attention to my previous posts you could probably figure out where i'm getting some of the parts. and other parts...you'll just have to stay tuned.

lol. Oh it's not "all at once" by any means.
I spun main bearings in the beginning of February(and haven't driven it since) I've been planning and saving ever since
 
Can't wait to see how this plays out.. 2-300 would be an interesting shot of N20..

On that note, I can't wait till my LS is out of the shop.. Damn flange studs :mad:

I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
that "BADDEST LS" will for sure be faster but...i don't really see that as an LS anymore. not with a completely different drivetrain. but that's just my opinion. not saying that i don't like it..i think it's awesome!
