I just traded a set of Mark VIII Gen2 Valve Covers and front cover for a Meziere Electric Water pump.

Nice trade. I wouldn't trade for it to put on a daily driver. I don't want to be stuck one day when it goes out. but so do mechanical pumps

Most of the problems I've seen from these is due to wire issues due to less than ideal installations.

I like mine. I thought it was a very good trade. I didn't want to say this at first due to Murphy's law. Now it will probably die tomorrow.

To me it's a win win. I'll put it on my bench tester and run it for two hour increments to simulate some driving and see if everything is good.

By the way Don, what kind of belt do I need to ask for now to get this to work? Also, this should bring up fuel economy a bit a well?

Not that mine is a daily driver, but the only issue I've had was a bad relay. No worse than when you shred a belt with a mechanical pump.

Edit: Isn't the pulley size same as stock?

That wont simulate anything. Big difference between an electric motor just spinning and an electric motor pumping fluid while bolted to a 200* piece of aluminum and having 170* hot air blowing on it.
