Take a look at the 2010 SHO.

I'm not sure about the outside styling yet but interior is not bad .What I do like is the twin turbo ........means there will be chips or aftermarket add on computers and we should see much bigger horsepower numbers .Yikes may even see upwards of 450 + and awd

Look at the latest Bmw 330 twin turbo ,they are making close to 500 hp w/ the add on computer

Miss the mark again Ford? Cry later when no one buys your cars..... then go to the government for handouts...

The only N/A car company that is really doing some interesting things is Buick- sexy cars.

You are some kind of idiot aren't you. First the new Taurus looks awesome, Ford has a winner here. Compared to other cars in its class, like the Malibu, Accord, Camry, etc, it kicks ass.

Second, for the market (US) auto is clearly the way to go. The best thing they can do for sales is make an auto that shifts like a manual. The time is fast approaching when an auto will do it better and faster than manual could ever hope (see new 7 and 8 spd gearboxes from Mercedes and BMW - that tech is the way of the future).

Third, Ford didn't take a govt. handout. How you could miss this I don't know.

Fourth, Buick? You must be an old fart. That new Lacrosse looks like a Lexus knockoff, with a semi-beefy engine and nothing else. Can you say body roll?

buick was always gay....and they made those stick on oval port holes mandatory :/ every buick i see has them on....wtf?

Buick has manuals???

Your post, you should have thought it through a little bit more.

The LS with the technology now could compete greatly with the CTS....the only set back is the Corvette engine they put in it..but common...can't Ford but the 4.2L Superchargered V8 from the Jags into it..or do a smaller one...kinda like the downgraded 4.0L S-type engine was made a 3.9L for the LS.....make a 4.0L V8 with a supercharger for a new LS and it'll make my day......especially with AWD...that'll put in in BMW and Audi courtyard and blow some walls off the competition......Lincoln still has no good cars available as far as ConsumerReports.com 's standards

The fact still stands, yes they could have done lots of things but they didnt and for a reason. They didnt market this car to the type of crowed that follows those others! Its what you bought live with it ( people in general ).

BTW, Buick's are hideous cars!

They are these days. Used to be ok. Seems they have lost their way.

Apparently, they sell well in China.

Lacrosse, Lucerne, Enclave...

I agree with that, but you lose some of the "fun factor" you have with a manual.

Not really- most of the designs come from their Ford Interceptor concept car. The front is a blend of the previous-generation 3-bar Fusion and the Ford-in-Europe Mondeo.

Yea really, looks like a mix of other cars out there as half this thread of people have stated already. Just means that Interceptor was doing some copying too than, not really a big deal as alot of vehicles these days look or have cues from other brands.

I disagree, half the people in the thread have not stated that already. Most of the cues come from the Ford-Euro Mondeo.

That SHO video made me dislike the SHO...what the hell is up with the NO EXHAUST NODE....if they are gonna make it a sporty Taurus..at least give it some growl.....just like the AMG and M series or the S/R models of Audi

I think Ford decided against putting in a manual because the previous SHO with manual didn't sell all that well.

The linkage in the SHO manuals was lousy, Ford has always blamed the poor sales of its manuals (or sportier cars) on lack of market when they always go only half way in design.

SHO manuals lousy linkage.

MT5 Underpowered manual transmission car.

XR4Ti lets use a lower powered engine (175hp) with a weak five speed with poor ratios rather than the off the shelf Thunderbird unit with 200+hp and a stronger T5 transmission, otherwise we may steal sales from the Mustang.

LS V6 use a good manual transmission but link it to the smaller of two engines rather than using a stronger 5 speed and using the 8 cylinder. Once the CEO backing the DEW98 program leaves let trash his cars to show what a crappy leader he was.

If any of the domestics wants to compete with the Europeans or the Japanese (and they can) they need to design good cars without cutting corners. They must also stick with good designs and keep refining them if the sales don't meet expectations, rather than canning good platforms that don't sell well. Look at Infiniti the J30 didn't sell well but they kept improving the platform and eventually the G35 (350Z, 370Z, M35) grew out of that program. Compare that to Ford where good money was spent on the LS (Jaguar S) and there was no follow up to improve the car and find the sale potential it had. So all that development money went down the drain (other than the parts used in the Mustang).

Lets get ppl working for crap money so we can get the better quality deal.......
