I got everything unscrewed and ready to remove. One of my spark plug holes was filled to the brim with oil...either in a failed sleep walking attempt I decided to try and top off my oil in one of the spark plug holes...or this was a much needed fix that I'm undertaking :D

No wonder the car was idling and running erratically!

man if you dont quit working on that car your going to wake up in the middle of the night to find a mark viii standing over you with a crowbar. your sig should be that dead on crow bar. that thing is in my list of what to have in case of a zombie attack. pure evil

I pulled the entire intake off the car, and have the fuel rails off, almost all the vacuum hoses are off and I still can't see the bolts on the passenger compartment side to get the covers off.

How did you make out?

he didnt make out, i have a motor sitting on a stand in my shop and his car is backed in my shop with the hood opened and the carnage is on display!!

Passenger side I did ok with. I put a board underneath the engine and jacked it up a little bit. That cocked the engine enough upwards to be able to just lift the valve cover off.

The driver side however I didn't have such luck with. I f'd that up and now Jamie is putting in a new motor. The issue was with me prying to hard on the valve cover, realizing I chewed up the lip on the valve cover in a few spots and ruined it, so I took a hammer to it to teach it a lesson....however it taught my pocketbook a lesson in the end

I've got to give you some credit Ripped Camel, you've got guts.

If I ever did something like that to my car, I sure as heck wouldn't have posted about it with photos too.:D

I wanted to share my rage for everyone to laugh at :D:p
