tackling the driver side valve cover today...

so how is it you need a new motor? what did you do to it? the only reason why im askin is because im takin the frt timing cover off my car this weekend to see whats making that tapping noise. i have all the frt accesories off and the pass valve cover, but i figured i can unbolt the drivers cover and sneak the timing cover out from under it.

The problem wasn't with the front of the ds valve cover, it was with the rear part that only need about a 1/2" to clear the head and come off. Read the thread titled "About to have a f'n heartattack" in the Mark VIII section and you'll see what happened :shifty:
