Spark Plug Question

Are the threads in the heads for the spark plugs full thread or half thread? Im changing the spark plugs and i was told to get Autolite 764s (copper core) and i noticed the were half threads. I just want to know if i should get full thread or half thread for my gen 1.

The autolight 764s are only half thread. i was told to get them but i dont know if our cars are full or half.

An AGSF (full thread) spark plug will work in any Modular cylinder head, you'll just be using only the bottom portion of the threads on the plug in a half threaded cylinder head. However, an AWSF (half thread) plug will NOT work in a cylinder head REQUIRING a full threaded plug.

thats what i use in all marks i work on, 764's.

yeah i remember you telling me to use them so i figured i would. i basically stock right now. do you change the gap at all with them?

They don't come ready so you use a gap tool to set them. 0.054'' is what I run. (I think that's stock recommended gap)

Must be done on a cold engine and torqued to spec. (7 Ft/Lb is what's in my Ford book)

correct the gap is .054 dont go messing around with different gaps just gap it to stock.
