someone has to much time.check this thing out.

I used to see this conversion done to a bunch of T-Birds while I was in Florida. I think I maybe saw 3 t-birds with this done to it. First Mark I have ver seen though, some company makes a kit to do that. Gotta say this one doesnt look that bad...

yeah its a mix of style but man being a body man and painter by trade for over 20 years I really have to say they did a nice job with this.I didnt know it was a kit.

no if you read above the pic of it, it say's its from a real 51 ford not a kit.

I guess it works a little better on the Mark VIII than the T-bird.
While it doesn't work with the Mark VIII curves, at least the 8 has curves. It looks even more odd on the straight, contoursless sides of the T-bird.

I am going to bet its the same kit that I have seen, sounds like a wife listing the vehicle for her husband and she is mininformed.

I agree with ripped camel. Doing all that work but then not replacing the rear window lasgna molding is pathetic. It's all in the details.

That back molding is not cheap or easy to fix.
You have to replace the entire back glass.

the kit is fiberglass, thats all steel on that mark VIII. its the same look as the kit, but that is not a kit, we sold parts to the guy who was the builder of it, he took all the metal off a real 51 ford. i am sure the kit is easier to install. this guy took his time. i agree the work is killer, done extremely well, not my style, but i would cruise around in it now and then!

philly0420 i see your location says normal. is that normal illinois? as far as the side work goes about the only thing i do on the side anymore is tricked our choppers for the local bike clubs. really make nice money squirting a frame, oil cooler, tank and 2 fenders and a very fast turn around.

Oh no biggie. I have clear coat delaminating on both bumpers and some surface rust on one rocker(rocker is solid) and around my gas filler door. Was hoping to get the body work done on the side. I have someone who will paint it. I posted in your other thread. PM me if you want my motor guys number or need any help with anything else.

$585 + shipping, I think with a 38K asking price, I would have put the glass in.

+1.
