Sniper Tune & Anti-Theft

I will be changing my fan temp on offs when I put in my 160 degree tstat.... I'll let you know if it works or not but I can guess what the answer will be :D
 
Alright does anyone have the commando software sniper has. We keep hearing how much better this Pro racer package is over special forces sniper. Thats not even close to a fair matchup. Throw the prp out and then lets see. I'm not saying either is better.

Does ANYONE HAVE THE COMMANDO. WHATS UP WITH THIS SOFTWARE. will this fix these problems with sniper?
I may be going with SCT shortly due the issues I have and are still having. Speed limiter.
 
Special Forces is the entry level sniper
Commando is the pro level software.

we compare PRP to Special Forces because that is the closest price match.

With PRP you dont get a hobbled version of the Dealer software, you get the exact software the dealer uses.

SCT doesnt try and low ball price a "entry level" solutions.
SCT's entry level solution is FREE...It's EXTREME TUNE.

I dont like the sniper, baiting you in with a substandard/hobbled program, only in hopes that you'll "SPEND MORE" money later to get "everything you need"

If you dont mind that type of "bait and switch" crap, then by all means..
SEND Pat more of your money...it's no skin of my back... none at all.

In the first 10 minutes of using SCT pro racer you will not have a speed limiter.
I can 100% guarantee this.

10 minutes... done.
 
I dont agree that prp and sniper are the same price. Sniper is what 300. You cannt get everything you need at that price for prp. PRP "pro racer package" thats what it stands for right. Why not compare it to snipers pro package. Not it base package. Who knows nobody has spoken up for this software? Maybe its just a myth.
If my car wasn't running SOOOOOOOOOOO good on sniper I would Be using SCT. But right now I'm not changing anything. For fear it will slow me down. After the high 13's NA isn't enough I may Go with SCT.

the total cost is
software 329
chip 200 or Xcal 200ish

I got an xcal off ebay for 50.00
total cost would be right at 370.00 ish dollars.

The "Base" package you speak of is SCT's Free "Extreme tune".
you can put tune files onto an xcal and edit them in extreme tune.
With a 50-100 dollar Xcal the total cost would be ONLY what you spent on the xcal.

Seriously, I know you guy really want to put SCT down.
but your gonna have to come up with someone "other than price" if your gonna make a valid statement.

OF COURSE I PAID MORE for the SCT... but the damned thing just "works".

we get to spend out time learning how to tune, not fighing to find out "why something" in the software doesnt work.

Again, feel free to use sniper... it wont hurt my feelings abit.

But there is no way sniper compares to SCT.... no way shape form or fashion.

The ONLY PLUS sniper has is it's "low ball price" which often scoops up people that "look no further than cost".

IMHO a properly working product is well worth the price difference.

ALSO if sniper is screwing up these "very basic functions" how can you FEEL SAFE to know it's properly handling the ADVANCED FUNCTIONS?

The bottom line is you and Brandon are the only two people who have the SCT PRP and honestly i'm not impressed with your track times. Doesn't seem like it's worth the money to me...
 
Lol... me and Tommy also both have bone stock 98's.... it must be the SCT tuning is why we can't run 13's!!!

That first time out to the track ever for me also really reflects my cars capabilities....

Can you NOT wrap your brain around the idea that its not the software that makes a tune better? Do you really think there are some hidden Sniper or SCT settings that are the base for all tunes? You know, something they sneak in that makes on better than the other?

Wow. Like talking to a log.

All these packages do is let you control PARAMETERS that already exist. SCT lets you have MORE control over MORE parameters. Thats it!

I couldn't care LESS if I impressed some nuthugger from california.

I've made a TOTAL of 7 passes since I purchased my car, since my other car was stolen.
Coupled with the fact my car is 100% STONE STOCK.

well you missed the part where he's constantly swinging off my nuts, contantly talking crap about things he knows nothing about.

Then talks like he DOES know what he's doing when if you READ his posts, it's very very clear the only thing he can do is "wave a baby food spoon in the air" and get spoon fed information.
