got my new neon in today! AND IT IS BRAND NEW!! was a new car take off that someone had in storage, has all unbroken tabs, but i am thinking about putting some epoxy for strength. what do you guys think?? i bought some stuff from autozone, its versatech Plastic Welder, part no. 47809. it is a 2 part epoxy for plastic and metal.. you guys think its worth it to apply epoxy to good studs??

Well, it's not a part that will be taken off and put back on very often but if you feel the need to epoxy the studs because of fear that they may be old and dry rotted, then go for it but really, I wouldn't. Hang on to the stuff just in case something does need epoxy put on it.

It usually took those old studs atleast 10 years to get brittle, do you think you'll own your car for 10 more years?

i would do it, whats it gonna hurt, epoxy the base of them and let it sit a day before you put it on, and dont be stupid with the nuts when you do put it on, get them all snug then go back and give another 1/4 turn thats all you need. tighten too much and SNAP!!!!

definetly gonna have it for 10+ years, ill never let her go lol..
nah shes not a driver, just a show car. only takin her to car shows and such. it will be my future antique car.. this is why i am worried.. hopefully SOMEDAY there will be a company that eaither rebuilds or makes some kind of replacement light, but if not dont want another to get ruined..
